"Well. This was my favorite vintage shop in Asheville. I’ve purchased several items here and never had a negative experience. Until yesterday. My partner (visiting from out of town) and I went to Wildflowers because I knew he would love it. We walked in, I said “hi,” but the owner didn’t reply. My partner tried on three pairs of pants while I sat outside the dressing room with my dog. Nothing fit, so he told me to go ahead and he’d put the items away. About ten minutes after he exited (we were having a drink at a nearby brewery), we see the owner chasing us down headed towards our table. He said he found an empty hanger and accused us of stealing something from his shop. We were dumbfounded and confused by the accusation, showing him we had nothing but my small purse and the jacket on my back. I loved this place but unfortunately, I will not be back. I would never steal, especially not from a small business I admired."
"I loved my experience here. When I walked up there were a few people hanging out front because it was really slow, they all said hi and were really friendly. (Just a heads up, if it is open you can totally walk through the garage looking door.) The lovely man who checked me out was very good at small talk and had a calming demeanor. The clothes really seem to be a nice variety, enough that I can picture most people being able to find at least one thing that they like in here which *really* says something good about the people choosing the clothes. The prices are on the higher side I'd say? $$ instead of $? But it's clear it's because everything is handled with love and care, is based off of retail value and collectors value, and goes back into wages and the store. It felt like the owner genuinely cared where and when the clothes came from versus what a lot of stores do, throw random old timey clothes on a rack at completely random prices without even looking at the tag. (Not that I mind, that's how you find expensive clothes for way too cheap really.) Either way I felt like I walked away with a piece that I will love for forever and like I supported an amazing, beautifully Ashevillian, lovely little store. Just to emphasize how much detail and care goes into this store; when I was being checked out the (I want to say) owner very neatly folded my clothes and put them in a white paper bag and then pulled out a little custom stamp with the store name and wild flowers. That is the most precious thing ever "
"I visited this shop on a trip about 6 months ago and still think about it often. The atmosphere in there was so wonderful. The big doors were open and there was a breeze coming in. The man working there was gentle and kind. There was an incredible selection of beautiful things to look at. I didn’t end up buying anything, but I had such a wonderful experience. This was definitely the best vintage store I have ever been to, and the best store we visited on our whole trip."
"Stopped by today while on vacation in Asheville. Amazing store and owner -- something for EVERYONE! Owner is super knowledgable and has created a really unique yet awesome atmosphere. Reasonably priced vintage and a crazy selection. You can't go wrong checking this place out."
"Best vintage clothing shop in Asheville, bar none. Rafi curates his collection with diligence and care; the labor of many years scouting the region for the best pieces available. The whole experience is quite the visual delight - from the murals done by local street artists outside the shop to the racks of beautiful clothing inside. Highly recommend stopping by for a browse. Everything from 1950’s ladies house dresses to 1980’s rock band tees. Something for everyone!"
