"This go around, the food ain’t popping like it usually is. My Mac and cheese is dry and old AND there’s a piece of green leafy food stuck in between it. And my plate may look appealing but my meat is overdone and plantains are old and stale. Seems like they pulled this plate out the trash or from an order that hadn’t been picked up yet. Just sad. And to think, I drove from Huntersville for this plate. Disappointed!!!!"

"This review is overdue & a three-in-one. I was here on Friday, 01-13-23, Saturday, 02-11-23, and Saturday, 07-08-23. On Friday, I stopped by on a whim & decided to try the fish soup as it was cold outside. It was very good & filling. On Saturday, I had lunch with a friend & ordered butter shrimp; can't remember which drink I tried. In July, I'd been wanting to try their breakfast for a while. By the time I got there, only porridge was left. I'd just had wonderful Jamaican breakfast in Boston. I'll have to return on a Saturday to try everything else; the porridge was ok but not as good as what I had in Boston. My usual drink is the pineapple ginger. Not sure what the black item was inside my drink that time."

"The atmosphere was peaceful and the food was soul touching! The flavoring was perfect with the Oxtails, Goat and Curry Chicken! Omg the okra was flavored and cooked perfect!"

"Purchased a large curried goat combo (jerk chicken was the other meat) with Mac and cheese as a side and requested a pineapple drink bit was given a pineapple ginger instead. The drink was lukewarm, the Mac and cheese a bit on the salty and overcooked side and the 2 pieces of fried plantains were underripe. The curried goat was good but the jerk chicken tasted more like a baked chicken than jerk. The texture of the rice was good. The veggies needed a bit more color. There is enough seating in a clean environment and music and televisions to keep your attention while eating. Overall I'd rate this experience a 3/5."
