Sweet Lew’s BBQ

"Had a great experience at Sweet Lew’s BBQ in Charlotte, North Carolina. I live right near there and have never been there to eat. I’ve been wanting to for a long time, but never made it. I ended up winning this amazing Super Bowl contest and got food from them. The food was spectacular. We had these huge Dino beef ribs that were so full of flavor and fell off the bone. The mac & cheese was cheesy and had great texture. The coleslaw had just enough mayo and was crunchy. My favorite thing were the chopped chicken sliders. The chicken was so tender and had a delicious sauce with it. The pork sliders were good too but I definitely liked the chicken more. We also had the smoked chicken wings. Those were my least favorite. They were a little dry, but I probably could’ve put some sauce on them. The staff were super friendly and accommodating too and answered all my questions! I will definitely go back there!"

"This was fabulous BBQ! Meat was so tender, you had your choice of flavored sauces, tried them all and they were all really good. They only serve til they run out, and they ran out after we got there. So when in Charlotte, don't hesitate and get there! You won't be sorry :) oh! And it was free beer Friday, literally FREE beer!"

"The service was good, but the food was subpar. The lady who fixed our plates was super helpful and offered great suggestions. Compared to other barbecue restaurants, the food here lacks flavor. The Cheerwine burnt ends were almost inedible. The best thing was the smoked sausage and the hush puppies. Everything else would not be worth another trip."

"While on a fast Charlotte run, we found this converted gas station eatery on Google. The entire neighborhood smelled heavenly, as the smoker was working hard. We split the Sampler plate with collards and Brunswick Stew. It contained 2 ribs, beautifully charred beef brisket, and a generous amount of pork, which the server chops in front of you on a wooden board. Straight smoked meat, add any of their 4 sauces if desired. Being from SC, the mustard sauce was really good. Eat outside on the covered patio and enjoy the fall weather. Very friendly staff."

"Well, right now I decided to try the place. I'm leaving here super disappointed. Value for money is bad. The brisket was dry and hard, the very salty sausage in fact I had to leave it whole it's called Sweett Lew's BBQ and the only sweet thing was Coca-Cola, its sauces are mostly vinegar the Mac and cheese without flavor definitely an unforgettable experience not to come back, I had high expectations but I definitely have to be more careful of the negative reviews"
