"Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. I took my son’s car there to check on some codes from a check engine light knowing if the next step was a timing belt. I told 2 different people twice what was already done. They call back the next day with “it needs a camshaft position sensor” and it’s going to be just under $600 before tax and they can have it done for me tomorrow. I said, again, it’s got a brand new Camshaft Position Sensor. 1- this tells me that the have no idea what’s going on. 2- they were willing to overcharge me $600 on a misdiagnosis. 3- they didn’t open the hood (since I have the new CPS labeled) 4- there no communication there. Even though I told the mechanic that worked on it that it’s got this new part in it, I told the counter guy who wrote up the ticket the same thing and I told the person that set up the appointment over the phone that it’s been replace as I know the code it’s going to show and that would likely be an assumption. Also, I get people have to pay the bills, but retail on a CP Sensor is between $20 and $50 (and they are not paying retail). Installation is one easily accessible plug and a 10mm bolt that is extremely accessible if you just open the hood. We all need to make money. It took me 11 minutes to replace it as a novice $580 is steep for 10 a minute job (likely much less time for them) And the fact that not only would I be $600 in, this would NOT fix the issue. I said, ok, timing belt it is since again, it’s got a new CO Sensor in it. I said thanks but I’m going to hold off I’ll pick up the car. I get there. It turns out they left the keys on the hood for 2 days and had some difficulty finding them. So after they found them they have the nerve to give me a quote on a timing belt and a bill for $140. How are these people still in business? I feel sad for all the people that think this shop is honest and knowledgeable and the $140 I spent. Counter guys rebuttal was “I’m just the messenger”."

"Normally, we use an independent small business close to our home for our auto repair needs. He’s part of our “village” of trusted helpers. But, when my grandson’s car broke down, it had a mind of its own. It stopped working at the opposite end of the Grand Strand within a block of Archer’s. My grandson was able to coax the car into Archer’s lot. Rather than have the expense of towing the car across town, we “took a chance” and asked them to look at it. Keith communicated clearly with us on the suspected problem, recommended solution and cost. They worked the vehicle in, ordered parts and repaired it, and had it ready to go in less than 48 hours. Everyone we encountered in their shop was kind, polite and helpful. We’re so thankful Archer’s was where we needed them and got us taken care of. Our “village” just grew. We’d definitely trust them to work on our vehicles in the future. Thanks, gentlemen!"

"All the guys who helped were great and even checked stuff out for me on top of what my appointment was for. Very polite, and there was a big waiting room for anyone wanting/needing to stay until their vehicle is done."

"Polite, friendly, fair prices. They've worked on my car multiple times now, I trust them. They found what was draining my battery, and recently they replaced the motor that controls my electric seat adjuster when it quit on me. Also they got to look at my car very fast after I dropped it off, didn't waste my time."

"I just purchased a car from Carvana (big mistake) and took it there as they are listed as one of the approved service centers. My car had a vibration, and they first found a bent rim, they had it sent out for repair. Got the car back, it was a little better, but not gone. Took it back, then they told me it needs tires as they are cheap tires. I'm out of town and the ride there was not great due to the vibration. I did get it done during my stay (it was driving me nuts) and Matt and his team were correct, tires were bad. No more vibration."
