"This place has been a nightmare since they switched to Westchester. It is a nightmare to get prescriptions filled, a call back or even an appointment to refill your medication. The secretarial staff are also a nightmare who need to learn customer service and how to work a phone to actually call patients back."

"I have always preferred woman doctors, until I met Dr. Reed! He was kind, and really listened to me. I was terribly sad to see him go, but decided I would give his replacement a try. I like Dr. Yohannan. She's very nice, but she's not the problem!..... It's the office staff! First, all of the office/nursing staff was either fired or they left. I used to call that office, and only had to give my first name and they knew who I was... Now you can't even get a human to talk to. All you can do is keep leaving messages. Getting my prescriptions filled is a giant headache! We call and call. Leaving messages! A few times, my husband had to drive to the office, just to get to talk to a real person... Even then, half of the time, they still didn't call it in!!...( I miss paper prescriptions you dropped off yourself!) As soon as we can get some recommendations from friends and family, we are finding a new doctor's office!!"

"I have been with New Windsor Family Medicine since the day they opened. They were the best. Dr John Reed was awesome and anyone he took in to work in his practice was equally awesome. After his retirement the practice was sold to Westchester Medical group. One by one they got rid of everyone that made the place great. It is now a rude, confused, disorganized disaster with almost no health care providers on staff. The one doctor they currently have is awful. She shouldn't be a health care provider until she looks a little healthier herself. Jennifer the PA was awesome but she's now gone. They have 1 NP Kisha, and she is over run. It takes months to get in to see anyone and they realy should just shut there doors. I realy need a doctor and would rather stay sick indefinitely, before I aggravate myself to the level to wich things get dealing with those nasty people. Ps a week to get an answer on getting a much needed script filled. Only to be told I have to come in first, and that would be a long wait. Do yourself a favor GO ANYWARE ELSE!!"

"This practice was amazing at one point…When it was run by Dr. Reed! Since it has been turned over after he had retired, this place has gone down hill! I ended up leaving the practice not ONLY bc of a nurse who had HORRIBLE bed side manner and not to mention the audacity to comment on my personal life because of a scheduling issue… but what made me even more sick to my stomach about this place was how the office manager herself managed my issues I have had with that office! She pointed fingers at all but herself and her staff for having such disrespectful team members speak/treat the patients like they do! They have never taken accountability for any of their faults! They can’t even get the right medications to my loved ones who were once part of this practice as well! Very scary knowing that the wrong medications are being given to the wrong patients! Leaving this practice and their unprofessional ways was the best decision I have EVER MADE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PARTICULAR PRACTICE! They don’t want to make things right, they would rather blame and point fingers at their patients for their own lack of communication, faults, call backs and simple bed side manners! I have known many MANY family/friends who had left right after Reed sold this practice… I still gave them a chance and figured out real fast that leaving was what needed to be done. I couldn’t trust my health in this practices hands at all anymore!"

"My husband loved Dr. Reed, but sadly he retired. We stayed with the practice and saw his replacement. She was not as fabulous as Dr. Reed, but got the job done. Over the last year the practice has gone downhill. Disorganized and not helpful. Getting med refills has been a huge problem; currently the practice has not called in a needed refills for almost 2 weeks. we (and the pharmacy) have made numerous calls to try get the refill, we are told there is nothing they can do but wait for the Dr to call it in (which will likely take several more days). We have been with out the needed pills for 12 days now, the office staff is less than helpful in finding a solution to allow us to get the refill. If the doctors were amazing, this hassle and stress might be worth it... but they are not. I suggest looking elsewhere."
