"I had my baby last year and had to see the pediatrician 2 days post discharge. The doctor was a recommendation from my sister-in-law. I do have to say he is very knowledgeable and takes his time with the patient. However, he did not respect my decisions when it came to my child ( I am a RN btw) . As a healthcare professional it is your job to educate and then it is up to the patient whether they choose to be compliant or not. After the 1st visit, I just thought he had a bad day or something, so I gave it another go. He still badgered on my decisions and ended up taking my husband with me so for support (on future visits). However, I want a great relationship with my child's pediatrician so in the end I switched to someone who was respectful to my decisions and would not make me feel like a bad mother."
