"Beautiful grounds… Nice folks… Bath/shower house could use some deep cleaning. Shower doors/curtains need work. Water was hot and space was adequate."

"This campground is very different on the weekend compared to during the week. I was here from Tuesday to Thursday and only 12 of the 120 spaces were occupied. The staff were super friendly, the showers warm, everything was lovely. For the weekends, all the spots are booked out weeks in advance. If you want a semblance of solitude on those days, I suggest getting a spot on the "W" drive, which is slightly secluded. There are warm showers, potable water, electricity only in the bathrooms. Bear boxes available for every site. The main drives (with the platform spots) are all clustered together. There is a beach next to the campground, with a small segment reserved for the campground. Earliest check-in is 3pm, you have to be gone by 11am."

"We went here last week to camp for the first time, we booked the platform one (tent). I’m glad that I booked here as first timer because we really had a very nice camping experience. The place was clean, there were I think 3 bathrooms and showers at the site - not very clean but it was fine and they have hot showers and have individual door for privacy. Each campsite has picnic table and fire ring/bbq grill. To my surprise there were not a lot of mosquitoes - I think I just had one bite at my foot but considering I wore a shorts the whole day. We camped for 2 nights and I felt like to stay even longer. It made us feel to be excited for more camping experience so we booked another one but we like to try diff site. The site was almost full, the distance from the neighbor is not that far but still has privacy. The quiet time is not observed strictly but it didn’t bother us that much. I would like to come back to this place. There is a lake nearby like 3-5mins walk, but we couldn’t swim bec there was no lifeguard on duty. But overall it was an amazing experience!"

"We just got back from a 2-night stay at the campground, which we enjoyed very much. We had a platform campsite in Loop B. The platform was big enough to accommodate our 8-person tent. Up to 2 tents and 1 vehicle are permitted per each campsite. There is a fire ring with a griddle located at each site, but the griddle is not adjustable, and is only good for cooking things placed on or wrapped in foil. Their store has firewood for sale, but no charcoal, so if you are a grilling type, please make sure you bring your own portable grill and charcoal."

"This is a quick getaway campground that’s less than an hour from NYC. Lots of amenities and space with easy access to a beach nearby. Camp store and office can provide firewood at $7 at time of writing and each site has a metal firegrill on the ground. Unfortunately some of the sections can be quite closely setup and hence privacy is not something easy to find. Especially if a group decides to bring music, floodlights and even projectors for movie viewing. Can get quite loud. The quiet night time rules are not enforced. For a little more privacy, the W section and sites near are is highly recommended as those campsites are well spaced and usually surrounded by some vegetation. The wooden platform sites are not really recommended if the weather is not too bad. Also, although the maps shows a lagoon, it is not visible or accessible from the site. Would rate higher if night time quiet rules were better enforced."
