"Visited the place for first time today with my wife. The salad wasn't very fresh, felt like it came out of those pre pack mix salads found at grocery stores. The entrees were too salty. The steaks were cooked nicely hence the 2 stars but sadly we couldn't enjoy them because of all that salt. Couldn't taste anything but salt."

"Since 1936 Steve's has been accumulating a wall of nostalgia with photos and greetings from famous friends; not to mention dusty trophy fish and giant crabs! These touches simply shout atmosphere! The steaks really sizzle, presented on a hot oven plate that sits on an old board! Perfect temperature, surrounded by a batch of button mushrooms and oozing a magical sauce mixture that makes my mouth water thinking about it!"

"Went to Steve's Sizzling Steaks (SS) and I can confidently say this will be the last time I will ever go there. Steve's Sizzling Steaks is an institution and been there for many years. It has its core customer base and this review is not for them but for the first visitor who may want to try this establishment. I've been coming to SS for years but I'm a steak guy and not the biggest fan of this place, the reason I kept on coming back was that my young boys love the steak specifically for the salty sauce they put on their steaks, and delivered on a hot sizzling metal plate with fries. This is their signature style. I hated going there but for my sons who wanted to go there we said ok, we'll grab dinner. After this dinner even now my youngest son said he doesn't want to go back. Let me explain - the 1st main issue with Steves is their pricing. They're steaks are ok grade. They're not using USDA prime cuts here. Using their salty sauce masks the quality of meat, and makes it more tender to eat. But during and after COVID, Steves like many other restaurants bumped up their prices. As someone else mentioned here, they're charging $65 for a Filet Mignon steak - which is on par what you pay at a 'real' steakhouses like Capital Grille down the highway. This is highway robbery. Decor - the place is more diner meets hunter lounge inside and isn't what you consider your traditional steakhouse venue/interior as well. Parking is bad - hard to get spots even on a none busy night, and its right off a busy part of Rt 17. as well. On this particular dinner night, it was the worst. My son asked for medium-well (he's a kid) and the steak he got was basically burnt to a toast. It was so burnt that all the sauce was evaporated. Again this is a $65 steak here. On top of that they were serving burnt/black fries with the steak. Look at the pics. Ridiculous for them to served overcooked fries like that. My son obviously didn't enjoy the steak and now understanding the value of money cause he does weekend jobs to make spending money, he knows the value of $65 (I paid but he still likes to look at the bill at restaurants). He told me he doesn't ever want to come back. So summarize to 1st timers: don't believe the ratings and if you want some good steak don't bother to come unless you are a high net worth individual and have money to burn. Lots of better steak places in the area including Capital Grille, Eddie Vs, Ruth Chris, and more. Note: On the uploaded pictures thats my NY Sirloin (ordered medium), not my son's steak. But I got burnt fries also. Look at the onion rings as well. Burnt."

"Nice juicy flavorful steaks you can get at a great price. The mushrooms and sautéed onions are to die for. I'll always go back. I had shrimp and Filet mignon tips and the other dish was porterhouse steak, creamy spinach...so delish!"
