"As a small business owner I was in search of a tax accountant to take care of our yearly filings. In an effort to cross every "t" and dot ever "i" diligence was done to offer the most information possible in an organized fashion. For 3 years this firm did our taxes, however it was chronically last minute. I would submit all of our information in early February only to be put under the gun April 13th. We were always told that this was because she was doing the corporations first and leaving LLC's to the end since they were simple. Well I guess she underestimated how "simple" it truly was. After receiving notices from the IRS about both over payments and under payments, in addition to failure to obtain a yearly tax clearance we made a quick decision to look elsewhere for advice. It turned out that our taxes had been improperly prepared for the entire duration we were with the firm. After spending countless hours with an actual PROFESSIONAL accountant and amending our previous returns we are finally out of the woods. When Linda was confronted on her errors her first instinct was to scream and demean both my business partner and myself. Countless times she reiterated that she went to school for this, not us. Sadly, Linda and her firm are so unprofessional that she even charged us ransom to retrieve our documents. While legal action could be taken due to the flagrant malpractice, moving on and learning a lesson was the path we chose. Ironically, I recommended a fellow business associate to her firm and they too had to refile and amend their taxes due to the consistent malpractice. In my experience, Linda micro-manages her staff, but in reality has no Earthly idea how to properly prepare taxes. If you are thinking of going here, run far away. The damages her firm will cause far outweigh the security that you hope to obtain when hiring an accountant."

"Linda Pressler did our 2008 taxes. We bought a home in 2008 and she told us we were eligible for the First Time Home Buyers Credit. Everything was fine until we received notices in 2011 saying that we were never eligible for the Credit, and we now had to pay back the IRS the full amount, plus interest and Failure to Pay Penalties. It amounted to close to $10,000 that the IRS wanted back in a matter of days. When we talked to her about it, her response was "I'm human. I make mistakes." While we understand that mistakes can be made, we pay someone to do our taxes in order to minimize those mistakes. Additionally, this wasn't just a simple mistake- she was not knowledgeable about the current tax laws. And that is unforgivable when you are a tax accountant. She offered to pay the interest for us, however she only paid half of the interest, not the full amount. And then she stopped returning our calls. We never received the rest of the money that she had promised us. The reason we are posting this review now, so many years later, is that we are still dealing with this. We have spent hours and hours on the phone with the IRS over the past few weeks and this issue still hasn't been resolved. Stay away."

"Terrible experience. They made errors in the forms, and did not complete the appropriate forms. When we received a notice from the IRS, her response was "oops, make sure you pay that on time". When we asked for a refund on her fees, her response was "I'm human" and doesn't give refunds for sloppy work. Take your business elsewhere."
