Southwinds At Gloucester

"I visisted with my sister who lives at the property about 2 months ago and stayed with her for 2 weeks. I am now considering living there myself because I loved the space and the community in general. Just happened to check availability today and read through the reviews and couldn't help but give my take on some of what is said here. Like everything else in life, there are always going to be pros and cons, but the pros of this place far outweigh the cons! No argument that new construction isn't as sound proof as older buildings, but my sister lives on the first floor and the noise from upstairs was minimal. I guess it depends who lives above you. Finding trash here and there around the community, I mean, it's multi-family living. It's the inevitable! The only time I saw trash piled up in the dumpsters and/or overflowing was after the weekends and then I saw the trash truck come Monday afternoons and it was gone. The floor plans are spacious and none of the square footage is wasted. The closet space is unbeatable and Wi-Fi being included is very rare to find. I'm pretty sure there are technical issues no matter which internet provider you have. I'd rather have WiFi included in my rent and call the in-house support team for free, than to pay an extra $100 per month to an outside provider and have to call them and fight for 30 minutes with the stupid automated system before I get to a live representative to resolve a connectivity issue. Honestly speaking, no rental is truly worth the money in this insanely inflated market. But at least at Southwinds, you get more true living space to call your own with beautiful finishings and parking included for the high prices they are charging EVERYWHERE! And Southwinds isn't even the most expensive in the area, and you get less at the other places. As the old saying goes, "you can't please everybody" but don't let a couple of negative reviews deter you from renting here. again, the pros FAR outweigh the cons, and they are only going to get better with time as they continue to grow. I look forward to hearing from Samantha when the next one bedroom becomes available,and look forward to being a happy resident there."

"Terrible place to “call” home. Maintenance never show when they’re suppose to. The “owner” is such a coward he won’t ever call you or help you resolve any issue you’re having. Have been paying for WiFi and a smarthome I have yet to be able to use since I moved in. Not sure how they can call it luxury when the place already looks dirty. Trash all over. Unkept landscaping. Broken pieces of the brand new building falling off. All the workers clearly don’t know how to run a business or have any idea what’s going on half the time. Have had a broken dryer for over a month and this place is suppose to be brand new. I wouldn’t even waste my time and keep looking there are plenty of new/old apartments in the area that you get way more for your money. They don’t even plan on getting a gym or pool. can’t even get someone to come pick up trash. Sad sad place."

"This place is horrible. Save your money. I’ve been here since August. My home WiFi still isn’t set up. My dryer has been broken for well over a month. There’s been old crabs and corn stuffed in a sewer grate for days. The craftsmanship of the buildings are horrible you can hear a mouse fart from three units away. My shower is leaking. The office just gives you a run around. Do yourself a favor and move anywhere else."

"Beautiful Place ! High ceilings and spacious bathrooms… between Sam, Erica, and Ken the hospitality is through the roof… The leasing manager Sam always has events and goodie bags for us which is a bonus… Highly recommend considering Southwinds as your next luxury condo!!"
