NYC Air Service

"We had a pleasure to fly over Manhattan with NYC Air Service in April 2023. The tour was amazing and we really enjoyed it. Scheduling went smoothly over the email and the next day our pilot, Harry, met us at the Linden Airport on time and we boarded small Cessna C172 to start our adventure. Weather was perfect, so we immediately departed from Linden and flew in direction of Manhattan. We had a chance to fly across Central Park (remember - that's not always possible, due to air traffic in the area) which was great! The pilot was very nice, answered all our questions and we felt safe with him. The views were breathtaking, we were very close to the buildings and we clearly saw the Statue of Liberty which was cool. We think that it is worth spending money on tour like this one instead of visiting crowded observation decks and paying for the Statue of Liberty tours. The only minor concern worth mentioning is that the tour was supposed to take one hour, so we thought it will be one hour in the air, but it was around 45 minutes from departure till we touched the ground again, but as said before - we really enjoyed the tour and can recommend NYC Air Service. Oh, and getting to Linden, if you are a tourist with no car and rely on public transport might take some time and will cost you a little extra. But for that you get to see the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge, Staten Island and a little bit of New Jersey. Something you don't get on heli tours. Please keep in mind they prefer cash payment or otherwise you'd have to send them a photo of your ID and Credit Card."

"This is a Great flight school! It’s also the closest to New York City. I trained and flew with NYC Air Service and received my private pilots certificate in less than a year. Now I’m currently training for my instrument rating with NYC Air Service and I highly recommend them for flight training or scenic trips around the Manhattan skyline. Their instructors are great and provide a unique training atmosphere. They are always available to answer any questions you may have. Their fleet of aircraft are maintained very well, always clean and some of the best to learn on. Highly recommend!!"

"We had an awesome flight experience with NYC Air Service in August 2018! I can hence highly recommend NYC Air Service to anyone interested in great views of NYC from the air. We got a full hour of flexible sightseeing for the price of a 10 minutes, highly standardized helicopter tour. Now having done both, helicopter and airplane sightseeing flights in NYC, I can clearly say that airplane sightseeing does in absolutely no way inferior to helicopter sightseeing in NYC. NYC Air Service operates out of Linden, but don't worry - there's a good train service out of NY Penn Station straight to Linden. NJ Transit will bring you to Linden in approximately 30 minutes."
