"This is not a place to stop and pray if you’re a sister. Right when you walk into the gold doors, it’s the brothers’ area covered by glass. they will not assist you. It’s very much possible that there isn’t a sisters prayer area in general but couldn’t tell as there wasn’t a sign or anything to direct someone."

"This is my second year doing itikaaf at this mosque, and both times I have been blown away by the energy that goes onto making the experience possible. Everything from the amount of planning that went into making these 10 nights as comfortable as they are, to the amount of effort that go into preparing and serving the daily iftaars and sehris --- even the small things afterwards like making us iced coffee with whipped cream and chocolate syrup during the night --- to the amount of maintenance that goes into keeping the bathrooms sparkling and carpeting vacuumed and clean. Alhamdulillah, all because of people who volunteer their time fee sabeelillah. May Allah SWT reward them. As for outside of itikaaf: the imam of this masjid is extremely genuine, accessible, and easy to talk to. The staff and people who volunteer / frequent here are extremely hospitable and kind. The mosque itself is clean and beautiful, especially after recent renovations. And if the character of the kids are any indication of the schooling programs they have going on here, they are doing a great job. Keep up the great work."

"I grew up in this masjid; I've been attending here since I was 8 years old. I've seen numerous changes to this masjid, some good, but most bad. There are a lot of points I can make, but I'll just focus on what I personally experience coming to this mosque now. The atmosphere has been hostile many times that I have gone in recent months; I've experienced aggression towards many congregants who I've known have been attending the mosque for many years, including being kicked out of the mosque, being told to leave the mosque immediately after the prayer, being threatened with police action if "trespassing" on the property (even if they are only coming to pray), and entirely barring Muslims from the mosque, even for prayers. There is clear animosity between members of the administration and longtime congregants of the mosque; the administration caters highly towards families of the administrators that come from far away, but don't bother respecting or displaying good character towards those who come daily. It seems the "overseer" of the mosque has the police on speed dial; they always seem to show up when a small argument ensues or something is not to HIS liking. Again, this is just one point I am making, even though I can think of many more."
