"I don't want to recommend this school to anyone. I had a bad experience as a dental assistant. The education department never tells you what will happen after you graduate, they only tell you that the school will pay for 2 exams and then you will get your RDA license. Which is a lie, when I graduated, the school only paid for infection control and radiology. After that you must pay $270 to take the chairside test, and the additional expanded function +$270 BUT, they don't tell you that in order to take the chairside test, you need 3,500 hours (2 years of clinical experience) to become an RDA. Nobody informs you about this. The only ones who inform you are the danb department. but the school never says anything, they have incompetent employees and they don't know how to communicate with their students. So if you want to study dental assistant, don't go to Fortis. You must work in a clinic from the first day you start classes to be able to have experience and the full 3,500 hours to become RDA. and finally, a RDA to start is earning $22 an hour without experience."
