"Ana was a dream to work with when it came to moving in, she was so helpful and sweet with all the moving parts of the move-in. The mail situation is a little tricky here since there are 4 mail rooms and things don’t always get delivered to the mailroom in which each tenant actually lives in (not the building’s fault though). My unit is beautiful and spacious, also I barely hear my neighbors which is great. The covered parking and amenities are wonderful as well."
"Thank you for coming to adjust the water temperature controls for both showers. Makes a huge difference. Quick service. Also thanks for providing a filter for the microwave exhaust fan. Very satisfied."
"I’m writing this review specifically to thank Ana for all her help with my move from Chicago. She is very efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. She has continued to help me even after my move and connected with me with the right persons on things I need to take care of due to the out of the state move. The maintenance team is also the best I’ve experienced. Very responsive and friendly. I really enjoy living in Walnut hill."
"This apartment has been nothing but a nightmare since I moved in. I thought in a new building I would be in a much better position than older ones, but I was so wrong. This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in by far. The absolute worst part is the noise. First, it’s been constant construction since the day I moved in. They rushed this second building along and moved people in while I still have construction on the sides of me, across, diagonally, above, you name it. One morning they even started at 7:30 am drilling and hammering. I was completely blown off by the building manager about the 7:30 am noise saying that I needed to take it up with the maintenance department. I didn’t hear it that early again but they start at 8:30 on the dot and It goes on all day every day within the thinnest walls. No one should have to live with this aspect alone, and absolutely no warning was given before signing or moving in. I was able to wrap my head around that because at least I knew the construction may end in the next month or two (I hope) but there is far more noise. Even before I got upstairs neighbors, I was kept up almost every night by banging that now I believe was coming from the hallways above and apartments 2 floors above and diagonal, just by people living their normal lives at all hours of the night which shouldn’t cause that much noise if the walls were sound. But the real nightmare started three days ago when the upstairs neighbors moved in. Every step they take sound like elephants. There’s a child running back and forth almost constantly and you can hear it all. The walls shake to the point you feel on constant alert and your body can not ever relax even while awake in the day, forget about sleep. I feel too terrible to even leave my dog home alone with this noise as he is constantly looking around, anxious, and trying to bark at it. Mind you, I have 3 of the most expensive white noise makers on the market going at all times- and it’s no match for this noise. There is no way that people living normally should produce this much noise and shaking walls in a brand new building. They must have skimped on the materials in every way. I’ve had multiple mental breakdowns in just a few days imagining being stuck here for the next year. Maybe on the 3rd floor you might be okay, but it is truly unbearable otherwise. There are other smaller nuances that add up as well. I put in two work orders the first week I moved in, which now 3 weeks later have yet to be completed. After stopping the maintenance guy multiple times and asking when they would get done, he just responds that they’re so busy and they’ll get to it. Absolutely unacceptable when you’re paying this price tag to live in Clark NJ. Our fridge takes about 5 minutes to fill up a Stanley cup of water, the sink has no water pressure, and there is a full molding missing above the balcony door. The shades for the balcony door constantly fall off and are of the lowest quality. The paint leaves marks with the slightest touches. 3 of our door stoppers have already fallen off, it seems that the quality of everything is as bad and as rushed as it gets for a BRAND NEW APARTMENT. I cannot stress this enough- do not pay this price tag to live here and expect what you would of a new apartment, or even a decently livable apartment on the 1st and 2nd floor at that. I’m open to hearing back from management about any ideas to remedy any of this, but I don’t even see how the noise issue could ever be fixed. When we spoke to someone in the office and basically begged her to come and listen to the noise, they said they weren’t allowed to do so. It’s such a shame because this apartment could have been great, now it has significantly declined my quality of life."
