About the Business

Goshen Area Parent Nursery School (GAPNS) is a well-established preschool located at 33 Park Place in Goshen, New York. With over 40 years of success in the Village of Goshen, GAPNS offers a modified cooperative preschool experience where parents are actively involved in the administration, budgeting, and operations through an elected Executive Board. Our learning model is centered around "learning through play", focusing on literacy, socialization, role-play, and academics.

At GAPNS, we maintain low child-to-teacher ratios to provide attentive care and allow each child to learn at their own pace. We encourage parent participation in the classroom and tailor daily activities to meet the individual needs of every child. Our curriculum is specifically designed to cater to the critical stages of development for toddlers and the social skills development of three-year-olds.

In addition to our regular preschool program, GAPNS offers exciting enrichment opportunities through themed sessions that are open to both enrolled students and preschool-aged children outside of GAPNS. Past themes have included "Fall in Love with Fall", "Kinder Kitchen", and "Once Upon a Time".

During the summer, GAPNS offers a fun-filled Summer Camp with different weekly themes, including craft projects, singing, dancing, and outdoor water play. Camp weeks are announced at the Spring Membership Meeting.

Located in the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen, GAPNS provides a nurturing and engaging environment for children to learn and grow.

Our children's well-beings are our number one priority, and being included in their experience and a huge part of it, you know their needs are being met and that they are being cared for. This is what I appreciate most about GAPNS. My daughter is in Miss Terry's class, the 2-day program, and she and I love Miss Terry and all the teachers in her classroom.
