Country Inn of Hazlet

"How many ways can you say RUSTIC? The furnishings alone make a stay here, a requirement. A super-friendly newish building, furnished, like it was from early last century. Your room may have Normal Rockwell pictures on the wall. I talked with the owners about how they did it. They told me a fascinating story of shopping for furniture in dozens of antique shops, garage sales, here and there. Each piece was stripped and refinished in a golden antique way. The desk in your room will likely have cubby hole mail slots. I was there only for a night, but it was a great visit. Super-friendly people with ideas on where to eat, drink and what to see. Also everything was SPOTLESSLY clean. I searched for a way to make this less then a hard-to-believe/perfect review. The only thing I could think of was that it was difficult to figure out how to work the shower drain. Oh and there was no restaurant or bar in the building. These are really minor complaints. The place is great. Oh yeah, it's a ten minute walk from the Hazlet train station."

"Stayed here many times in the last 18 months visiting my long distance partner. Coziest and most lovely hotel we have ever stayed at in the state, and we've been to over a dozen. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, and it was the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Cute decor and furniture, and comfy beds. It's like staying at your Grandma's immaculately tidy house (complete with Sam Rockwell paintings lol). The only time we ever stay anywhere else is when they are no availabilities!"

"We stayed at The Country Inn of Hazlet again last week. My Wife and I were from the area and have since moved away. We need a home base when visiting our Kids and Grandkids. This is our go to place. As always it was clean, pleasant and comfortable, plus my Wife Jeannie loves the Christmas decorations. Nick and his staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nice homey rooms with comfortable beds. Thank you Nick for another wonderful stay. We will see you in March when we come up for the Baby’s Christening."

"The rooms are cozy, super clean, affordable and the staff is excellent. We've stayed here twice so far and consider this hotel our home base whenever we are in the area. We accidentally left a shirt in the room and they are shipping it free of charge! Stay here, they will treat you well."
