Riverview Inn and Suites Rahway

"Very poor service. Staff is very rude. Many things were broken and dirty. Bathroom door lock was broken, the door was not even closing. Dirty carpets, curtains. We asked for help, but they didnt have any one to come up and check. We asked if we can het another room, they bluntly rejected! I dont even want to give one star!"

"Folks, these rooms are not cleaned properly. I'm one of those people that never complains about anything, yet here I am. When we walked in we could see the corners of the rooms were filled.with dirt, hair, and crumbs. The coffee table had a weird sticky substance on one side. Their was a blonde hair on the sofa (no one in our party has blonde hair). The left side of the toilet had a ledge, which was stained yellow with piss. The sink and tub had black mold-like stains at the seams. In the sink the mold was so bad it was pulling away from the counter. There were grimy, sticky splotches caked on one of the nightstands. The bed squeeked. Even the elevator was covered in white dust, presumably because they are "renovating". To the owners of this hotel: you are going to get someone sick with this lack hygiene. Please learn how to properly clean your hote or I guarantee you will be sued. You are being harmfully negligent. You think you are being frugal but this lack of sanitation will cause serious harm to your guests and eventually yourselves."

"The first room we got had a shower head not working properly. After reporting it, we got told we were turning it on incorrectly, even thought we were not! They didn’t even offer to come look at it. Then, we reported it again the next day, they said the maintenance man was not here so tomorrow! The next day, we asked for a different room. As we were moving to the next room, the guy working there acted so weird as if we were about to take something from the room, excuse me?! The second room was okay. The breakfast is very mediocre. All this was bearable but the customer service was not good whatsoever. They are not friendly and not respectful. Anything you tell them or ask them, they respond very rudely. The WiFi was very weak, we let them know very calmly and respectfully, the front desk guy rudely said “ right now, you’re the only room reporting that so we will not reset the WiFi for one room only.” Also, many taxis, etc cannot get to the location easily since it’s placed on a complicated intersection. I regret booking this place for 7 nights. I don’t recommend at all."

"Clean, no bugs. well kept, quiet, reasonable priced. Comfortable beds. Next to a nice lake. Plenty of food/ shopping nearby. Breakfast was decent. No major complaints. I would definitely reccomend and stay here again."

"I can't say enough good things about Riverview Inn & Suites. It's without a doubt the best hotel in Rahway, NJ. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the comfortable, well-appointed rooms, this place exceeded my expectations. The staff went out of their way to make my stay memorable, and the beautiful river view added a touch of serenity to the experience."
