"reposting. honest review. I've had a terrible experience with Crunch Fitness, particularly with their cancellation policies and customer service. My friend and I joined during a promotion in December where the first month was only $1. After that, the monthly rate was $33, plus a hidden annual fee of $63.96. However, when we tried to cancel, we discovered the annual fee had been raised to $75 since October 2023, making the total cost around $110 ($33 monthly fee plus the new annual fee). Called customer service is outsourced, ofc! The Somerset location's condition is appalling – most equipment and cardio machines have been broken for the last five years. Despite this, Crunch is quick to charge hefty fees for cancellations. If they're doing this to 20 people daily, charging $110 for each cancellation, they're making $2,200 daily. This feels like a scheme to extract money from customers. I am extremely disappointed with Crunch and would advise others to avoid them."
"I like this gym but I just have some requests. You don’t need 6 squat racks. Take out 3 and put another cable fly machine please. Also if you guys could get a standing and sitting calf raises machine that would be great. Also some straight bars would be nice too. And if you could also get a forearm roller while you’re at it. It’s like an abb roller but you attach a weight to it"
"I’m not sure why some of these other reviews are negative, I’ve been a member at a few different gyms since high school and this one is by far the nicest. The new renovations have been great and it’s always clean when I go workout. Also when I signed up, the manager explained the cancellation process very thoroughly to me (which is a problem I have had at previous gyms) The manager is super friendly and accessible, there was two times I told him about broken equipment and it was fixed before I even left the building. I recommend this location if you’re looking for a clean and convenient place to workout"
"Awesome gym for anyone in any shape. Charles and staff takes great care of the place, is always clean. Business was straight forward, I was notified about any fees I needed to pay and all my questions were answered. I was nervous about starting at the gym until a I did my crunch one kickoff. I sat down with a trainer and got myself on a plan I still follow to this day! Great hospitality as well."
