"Dr. Alexa Previti did a tongue tie and lip tie laser revision (frenectomy) on my 2 week old. Before her frenectomy, my baby had an extremely painful latch that was making breastfeeding unbearable for me. The lactation consultants I saw said that her latch “looked good”…but she was noisy/clicking while latched, very gassy, developing blisters around her lips, and couldn’t keep a pacifier in. She was clicking constantly and just dropping it. I knew something couldn’t be right, so I brought her in to Serenity Smile Designs to have Dr. Alexa do an oral assessment on her as soon as we could. We ended up doing her tie revision on the same day. We went back as a family for the assessment, then brought baby out to the lobby, where one of the assistants came out and brought her back again for the procedure. We waited less than 10 minutes (it may have even been 5 mins, it was quick!) and they were out already to tell us that they were finished and we could come back to the room with her. I was able to latch her immediately to comfort her and she was perfectly content afterwards! We’re 1 week post procedure now, I do her post-op stretches a handful of times per day to keep the tissues from re-attaching and her latch has has been night and day- so much better! I’m so glad we were able to get in and have this procedure done, it made breastfeeding a million times easier for myself AND my baby! You could tell immediately that she really loves what she does as she walked me through the office and described each of the areas and the machines used for examinations. The technology used is state of the art! She was very thorough in completing my health history, taking x-rays and cleaning and polishing my teeth. My teeth truly sparkled after she cleaned them!
