Jameson's of Floral Park

"It's changed, and not for the better. The new owners think they're running a steak house in Great Neck or the north shore. That vibe is never gonna fly in a neighborhood like Floral park, and with three other pubs within spitting distance, it probably won't be long before they have to rethink that cunning plan or sell back out. There have also been reports of bar patrons getting charged $2.00 for the ice in their drinks. What an awesome way to nickel and dime your regular customers to death. What's next? A rental charge for the bar stool you sat on? An upcharge for each trip you take to the rest room? If you're out for a simple couple of beers and a burger or wings, this isn't the place any more."

"This used to be one of my favorite places for appetizers and bar food, but I went tonight and I was surprised to see they changed the menu to more upscale dining fare. Well... I wish I could say I had a good experience but i didn't. The service was slow and the food was lukewarm. The only reason I didn't score them 1 star is because I know when attempting to make a change you're going to go through growing pains, and the food did taste good. I honestly wish they would've just stuck with what worked for them since 1998. Appetizers, bar food, with homestyle entrees. I appreciate the attempt, but sometimes you have to just accept who and what you are."

"A Mostly Delightful Experience at Jameson's Bar and Grill My recent visit to Jameson's Bar and Grill was a journey of delightful tastes, with just a minor hiccup along the way. The star of my meal was the glazed shrimp accompanied by green beans. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, with a glaze that was both sweet and savory, enhancing the natural flavors of the shrimp without overpowering them. The green beans were a great complement, cooked just right to retain a bit of crunch. A pleasant surprise was the side of mac and cheese. It was exceptionally cheesy and flavorful, striking that perfect balance between creamy and cheesy that you hope for in a good mac and cheese. Each bite was a comforting blend of rich flavors and smooth textures, making it a dish I would order again without hesitation. However, our experience wasn't without its flaws. My wife ordered an arugula salad with chicken, but it arrived with kale instead. We had to send it back, and it took a while for the replacement to arrive. While this was a bit of a disappointment, the staff handled the situation with professionalism and courtesy. Despite this small issue, our overall experience at Jameson's Bar and Grill was very positive. The quality and flavor of the food were impressive, and the atmosphere of the place was inviting and warm. We would not hesitate to return and would recommend it to others looking for a place that serves delicious, hearty meals with a friendly and welcoming vibe."

"Overall pretty good. Staff are VERY nice and friendly. Place is pretty large. Has some outdoor seating. Food was good: not amazing, but good. Vegan Burger was too "squishy" so it mushed out of my bun (a pet peeve of mine). Since i don't like messy burgers, i wouldn't order it again. Nachos were also good (again, not amazing). The meat is mixed into the black beans, so it's either black beans AND meat, or neither. We got that on the side, and i tasted it (I'm not actually a vegan or a vegetarian). It was pretty tasty (meat lovers would enjoy)."
