JAM Auto Repair

"I decided to go to Jam Auto to have my brakes looked at. I asked the mechanic to please call me back with a price before doing any work. He called me back saying I owe him $850 for brakes and Rotors. Almost $200 dollars more than my last brake job at American Cycle around the block that lasted 72,000 miles. I agreed to the ridiculous price because the job had already been done and I needed my car back asap. 5,000 miles into these brakes from JAM my steering wheel would violently shake while braking. I took it to American Cycle and they said the left pad was bad and the Rotors were badly warped creating a very dangerous situation. I went back to JAM and the owner said "What do you want me to do?" "You must have been driving in the rain!" Needless to say I brought it back to American Cycle where they did the job right. JAM AUTO is a taxi cab chop shop who doesn't back up their work. Very Bad Experience. Do yourself a favor and go to American Cycle a few blocks away. Not cheap but done right and very honest...That's all look for in a mechanic. Live and Learn, Gary Jacobson"

"I recently purchased a used vehicle at JAM and I had a great experience. I dealt with David (sales rep) as well as Rafael the shop manager and they were helpful, friendly and informative. Not only do they sell cars they are a full service auto shop. They even took care of going to DMV for me for a small, nominal fee (money well spent!) and as a result I was able to pick up my car with a permanent registration and plates already to go. And because they are an auto repair shop they were able to inspect it, so one less step for me. I definitely recommend checking JAM out if you are looking for a good used car buying experience."
