Great Expressions Dental Centers - New City

"I recently moved to the area and decided to try out this place. However, my experience was less than satisfactory. The receptionist I spoke to was extremely rude, dismissive, and rushed. Despite my attempts to provide information about what I needed, he repeatedly cut me off in the middle of my sentences. When I asked for clarification about sending documents, he simply responded with, "Just send it to the email, that's why I gave it to you," and repeated this several times. While this place may have good doctors, I'll never find out because of the terrible customer service. After this unpleasant first interaction, I opted to cancel my appointment and seek care elsewhere, where I could receive better support and communication."

"If I can give this place 0 stars I certainly would. This is my first time here, I walk in and Introduce myself to the receptionist he just rolled his eyes giving this place a great expression. I fill out the paper work he is asking for copies of the insurance cards, which I explained they have since my fam has been there before and they would have it on file. Eventually I get it to them. Afterwards I go in and get my x-rays and speak to the Dental Assistant start the exam. They informed me that deep cleaning that to which I agree, then they asked me to wait. They check with my insurance company now to see if it is covered. 20 min goes buy I am informed that my insurance doesn't cover it , to which I said usually deep cleaning is covered by the insurance. Another 10 min goes by they confirm it is covered, the the antibiotics is going to cost $ 437 for one side. And I come back next next get the cleaning the other side it would go $ 437. I mean good lord, I wasn't born yesterday. I said no, just give me the regular cleaning, to which they weren't willing. I just walked out. Man what a horrible waste of time. I go out in the rain and storm of 9 /29 to see you could have just done the regular cleaning on request."

"I was disappointed when I initially when to Great Expressions in New City because they charged me over $500 for cleanings that should have been fully covered by my plan. I needed a root canal and a crown at the same time. Root canal was done by another provider. Crown did not feel right in my mouth but they told me it was fine... It's not. I went back to the dentist I've gone to most of my life and it's clear from the X-rays that it's not sitting correctly and needs to be fully replaced. The reason I didn't go back was I thought it was very scammy... They never even charged my insurance company?!?!?!? Now I'm really angry that I'm going to have to pay for an expensive crown a second time in a year. Check the BBB reviews before you get involved with them."
