"A hidden gem in a bodega in Astoria! Found this spot on social media and took a trip out because I was intrigued with the unique pizza toppings. I ordered the elote, birria and chorizo. Flavor is absolutely incredible! It was all so good I ordered another two pizzas, the chilaquiles and mole. Everything was prepared fresh and quickly. The gentlemen making the pizzas were very kind and hospitable. I highly recommend visiting and trying the many different options. The most unique, best tasting pizza in NYC! Thank you for representing real Mexican flavor!"

"I learned about this spot after coming across a video about it on social media and as a Mexican I was very intrigued (especially as a native Texan who has found the NYC Mexican food scene to be generally disappointing, but this seemed like a unique fusion you could only find in NYC). During our first visit we ordered the elote and the mole pizzas. Both of the pizzas were incredible. The mole was tasty, authentic, and combined well with the cheese and pizza dough (which is also well done with good crisp). The elote was mind blowing. It tastes similar to a typical elote cup but on a pizza. During our second visit we ordered the chilaquiles (only available on weekends) and al pastor pizzas which were both not quite as amazing as the mole and elote but still tasty. I highly recommend giving this unique location a try"

"Discovering Pizzas X on social media, I was excited about their unique take on adding a Mexican twist to famous NY pizza. When I went there on a Saturday, I was the second customer. The pizza chef spoke only Spanish, so the deli employee helped translate my questions about the orders. Despite our translator, we had trouble understanding each other, so I ended up choosing a pizza from a post I saw. There were no prices listed on the chalkboard, and I only knew the cost after the pizza was made. The chef quickly started making the pizza, and I found out it was $23, totaling $25 with tax—a bit expensive for deli pizza. Unfortunately, the beef pizza I ordered turned out to be pulled pork, and it didn't taste quite right. The dough wasn't great either. I won't comment on the service and atmosphere. After finishing the pizza, I had a bad experience in the restroom. Overall, it was not a good experience."

"The pizza is fabulous! Finally somebody decided to do something different. What a creative and great idea it was to make pizza with flavors of Mexico. This place is located on Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens. You will not see the words Pizzas X from the street. Pizzas X is inside of a market which also sells Thai food in the back. It is a real hidden gem. Once you enter the market you will see a large red pizza oven in the middle of a spacious room. In my images you will see "Pizza MX" written on the chalkboard menu which is slightly confusing. We started out by ordering two pizzas, one mole and one chilaquiles pizza. The chilaquiles pizza provided a symphony of flavors with the combination of green sauce, eggs, and avocado. The mole pizza was adorned with a delightful and authentic mole sauce with cheese. We liked them so much we ordered two more small sized pizzas. The second two we ordered were a birria pizza and an elote (sweet corn) pizza. The savory birria sauce was a winner. Not only did the pizzas have great flavor but all the pizzas have the most wonderful crispy crust which elevated the dining experience. I have not seen culinary innovation in pizza like this so I consider this a must-visit destination. Pizzas X which will provide a memorable gastronomic adventure."

"A delicious hole-in-the-wall type place where you can see the chef through the whole process of pizza-making. It's top tier pizza and I was very pleasantly surprised. I'll be coming back. This spot, to me, competes with Astoria's best."
