"This Victorian home is full of charm and historical significance. Hearing about the back story and having a chance to stay here was a treat. The host Rick and Mandy welcome you with open arms. They have thought of every little detail, to make the stay more enjoyable. It was amazing to have access to a full kitchen. Making a meal according to your own dietary needs is very accommodating. The bed is very comfortable. That is coming from someone who normally had trouble sleeping in a bed other than my own. I had no problem getting great sleep while i stayed here. The home is very clean! I loved that you are in walking distance to the small town Chester on the Main Street for a morning coffee, or meal. I felt very safe walking around and enjoyed the town on my early morning walks."

"I could not believe when I went to leave a review and didn't see ALL five star reviews!!! This is new owners and that changes everything! This was such a wonderful experience for our first time in New York and we can't wait to go back and book with Rick and Mandy! The home is so much fun with all of the old decor and they have put so much work into modernizing to ensure comfort without taking away from the old Victorian feel. We did not have to worry about a thing our entire trip. We were picked up from the airport, taken anywhere we wanted - including the grocery store so that we could eat there if we wanted and on time for all of our tours! There is a formal dining room and then our favorite place to eat and play games? Was the sunroom attached to the kitchen. We loved being able to see the scenery through the windows. These are two of the most genuine, kind and caring people out there! On a side note, I was very afraid of driving in New York but Rick was amazing! They give you just the right amount of attention to make sure that you don't want for anything and you have your privacy. So enjoy the bathtubs! Absolutely deserving of five stars!"

"People who visit New York need to visit the charming countryside towns. Especially this one! Nestled perfectly between so many options. Now for this Victorian 1850 home… WOW and WOW! The NEW Owners, Mandy and Rick are accommodating in a way like you are their personal family member. They truly care about your comfort! The sheets, the bedding, the pillows and I can’t rave enough about that Nectar memory foam mattress, better than the comforts of home, truly. The kitchen, I mean who provides all those small appliances that you have at home? There was a waffle maker, insta pot, vitamix, air fryer, pancake griddle, FULL coffee bar and so much more. Your whole family can stay here together and eat together in the sun room seating 20 people for sure! But then there are the formal dining rooms as well. I think the best part I love about this home as you have all the character of a Victorian home, but all the updated appliances, showers and sinks, and not to mention little heaters in all the rooms! The cleanliness was impeccable, I was prepared to sanitize everything as I always do and skipped it for the first time ever! It is almost mid December and raining and I didn’t even have to turn on a heater in my room! All the towels and floor mats are luxury white so clean. I felt like I was at a spa. I don’t think I even have time on this review to go over where this beautiful place is nestled in amongst the trees and let’s not forget a beautiful summertime experience with that amazing Swimming pool and the lovely porch swing! You will undoubtedly enjoy your experience and will revisit again and again, possibly even making a family retreat or a getaway with girlfriends or your favorite person. I stayed personally in the Eden room I traveled with my 13-year-old granddaughter, and she absolutely loved the piano, and going up and down all the stairs. I can not wait to revisit! On a side note when we entered our room, there were a little chocolates on the bed, and even a sound machine I could not believe it! Again, my granddaughter had fun going through all the sounds and giggling, such a special memory we won’t ever forget!"
