"My experience with local repair business, Queen Vacuum, was simply the BEST! Everyone was SO friendly and accommodating. My 20+ year old Kirby vacuum is working like it’s brand new. It was serviced & ready in 24 hours ~ for a reasonable fee~ SO worth it! HIGHLY recommend."
"Queen Vacuum is awesome! John & Rachel always make me feel like family when I walk through the door. They’ve fixed all my vacuums and always do a spectacular job! Only place I trust & refer my family too. Thank you both for being the best all around!"
"This is a true story. At the request of no-one, the names have not been changed. Out of respect for the living, the rest has been told exactly as it occurred. Long story kind of short.... I had a very expensive Dyson vacuum cleaner, that I thoroughly hated, finally fall apart. I took it to Queen Vacuum to be repaired. As soon as I walked in the door, I was warmly greeted by the shop's co-owner, John. Really personable guy. Told him I needed to get my Dyson fixed. He gave me an estimate and I left the vacuum in his capable hands. I returned a few days later to pick up the vacuum. He told me that he saved me some money on the repair by using parts from other vacuums, and fixing the crummy hose on the Dyson rather than replacing it whole. The repair cost under $90, and in addition to the work, he thoroughly cleaned the vacuum. I got to talking to John about vacuum cleaners and how much I hated my Dyson. He gave me some very in-depth information about Dyson vacuums and the problems they have. I told him how frustrated I was with mine, and out of curiosity, I asked him what vacuum he would recommend in the price range of a Dyson or even higher. He heartedly recommended Miele. Now, this is a brand I am very familiar with as I did some research on it before acquiring my Dyson a few years earlier. I knew of Miele's reputation and not until I came to Queen Vacuum did I have the chance to see a group of models in person. Now, I must stress this: In no way did John push a sale on me. I was the one who brought up the possibility of buying a new machine. I was just curious about Miele and I had some questions. Well, wouldn't you know it, I dropped almost $1k on a Dyson C3 Pet vacuum. Now mind you, this is more than most people would spend on such a machine, but I already owned a $600 Dyson and I was very unhappy with it. I could have bought the Miele C3 Animal on Amazon. You would think it would be cheaper. Nope. Miele has a price fix, which means that like Apple products, what you pay one place you pay another. So why did I choose to buy this Miele from Queen Vacuum? Please pay attention to what I am about to tell you as this is what I learned during my visit with John... You can buy a vacuum on Amazon and *perhaps* save some money (pending on the brand). Thing is, vacuums are prone to breakage. When they do break, you want to know that you have a local store that will service that machine under warranty. You want that personalized service for the life of your expensive purchase. This is not something that Amazon can offer. Another thing.... John spent quality time with me in the store putting together my vacuum and showing me how to use it. Now, you might think that you could simply take one of these vacuums out of the box and just figure it out yourself. Wrong! I learned about different kinds of suction and what power settings to use for different floor and rug types. Additionally, I learned about changing the filter and when it needs to be changed. John walked me through every aspect of my new vacuum. He even threw away all the cardboard and packing material that came with it. When I got home, I reflected upon the experience of buying that vacuum from John's store. That was a truly unique experience, that normally, I would never have done. It taught me that there's still hope for Mom and Pop stores and a reason to buy from them rather than online. John told me that it's very much worth his time to sell quality machines and provide exceptional service so that he gets good "word-of-mouth" and Internet reviews. I understand where he is coming from, and hence, I made it a point to write this review. Thank You John and Rachel for an exceptional shopping experience!"
