This young lady made it all come together. She explained the process and cost, which was extremely helpful. We needed proof of insurance coverage for Oceanic to complete repair on our appliance since we are in a large condo complex. She came through for us quickly, and made sure our appointment was convenient. Pricing was very reasonable and Dale who is the service tech for Oceanic was personable and efficient, great service. "We moved to a new house about six months ago, and were excited to have Viking appliances in the kitchen. However, our oven gave us trouble from day 1- it was EXTREMELY loud. The blower made a loud hum while running, and there was often an associated metallic rattling as the oven was on. You could hear the noise from anywhere in the house, and it was loud enough to be disruptive to dinnertime conversation. We called another Viking repair company about the issue. They came a total of four times, replaced the same allegedly broken part four times, and did not solve the problem. We felt these technicians did not really listen as we described our problem, and didn't really consider what we were saying as they tried to fix the issue. After that repair company pointed their finger at Viking, and Viking in turn pointed their finger at the repair company for the problem, we turned to Oceanic. Enter Daniel- our oven hero! When Daniel was dispatched from Oceanic, he kept us informed as to when he was going to arrive at our house. He was prompt, polite, and respectful of our home. Daniel listened to us describe our frustration with the loud oven. He pulled the oven apart to see the issue himself, and then suggested a novel repair (something the other company did not consider). Daniel stated he would contact Viking Engineers, discuss his proposed work-around, and then get back to us to complete the repair. Daniel did exactly as promised. Our oven blower now runs nearly silently, and we are so thrilled to have a quiet kitchen. If you need an oven repaired, we can't recommend Daniel at Oceanic highly enough!"

"This is the story of my ordeal with Viking Corporation and Oceanic Appliance Repairs because narrating the hard time they gave me out of sheer carelessness and negligence to fix a simple issue with my stove. The silicone rubber seal got lifted off from only the knob area of my Viking stove a couple of months ago. The stove was working perfectly fine but i was worried that some food might get in the gaps and cause a fire. Hence as a precaution i called the manufacturer to get it fixed. The manufacturer recommended a local dealer called Oceanic Appliance Repairs. The first guy came from Oceanic Applince Repiar and he assured me they are well trained by Viking appliances and he knows what he was doing. So the seal had got lifted off only from the middle. It was perfectly fine on the sides. But instead of just fixing the part that was lifted he went ahead and removed the whole thing. He assured me he knew what he was doing. He used a clear Silicone non heat resistant. Which is a fire hazard! Imagine! And then he himself was unhappy with what he did and said his superior would come and look at it and fix it. Couple of days later the head technician came, brought a black silicone.. AGAIN NON HEAT RESISTANT.. and upon asking why they dont have a heat resistant one he said its not available and said this is the best product to use. After about an hr and half of going back and forth with different solutions he tried to seal the glass top with the steel frame and piped it like icing on cake in a messy, messy way. I have added the pictures. Instead of beading it nicely. And asked me, an untrained person obviously, to clean it up by scraping it off with a blade after it dried. A family friend who is a fire inspector, when he saw the job was shocked that a Oceanic Repair would do a half baked job like this and leave it as a serious fire hazard. With a simple google search he was able to find me fire resistant silicon and we had to take out everything that was done and seal it again and bead it with a beader tool. It was a simple job that was done in a lousy, careless manner by Oceanic Repair. When I called to complain they said they can’t go any thing more and I need to take it up with Viking. When i called Viking back, a company selling very expensive stoves, they were unhelpful and did nothing to either help me fix the issue or had and remorse for the trouble i had to go through by their recommended partner."
