"The restaurant was cold, my husband and I just landed after a 5 hour plane ride and we were heading home which was an hour drive. My favorite dish at TGIF is Sizzling Chicken and shrimp. The first waiter forgot to bring the water. The other waiter who was busy with a large table took our order. He was so pleasant. When asked how I liked my order I mentioned no marina sauce. My plate came with the sauce and the reason why is the cook burnt the shrimp and the chicken was dried. Omg, of course my husband enjoyed his meal. The waiter corrected the order for me and gave me more shrimp and did not charge me. I ordered wings to go for my granddaughter they were horrible. I will not be dining there again. It appears they are not getting any great business. My bill was $75 00 2 meals and take out. Thanks Cory you did a great job in a terrible atmosphere. TGIF you need to do better for the customers to not hide burnt food under the sauce, give customers food that only you will eat."

"I’m going to be honest here. I hated this location and have not visited in maybe two years because the service and food was so poor. Tonight my wife said let’s get take out so against my better judgment I did. To my surprise when I came in to get my order the place was clean and the vice was good. I went back to get the food and had a quick question and Terrell the manager assisted me right away. I could see right away he is a people person and his interactions with the other guests were nice too. So it made me feel great to see service back at this location. Service is just as important as the food. And today was a good day at tgif in linden nj. Thank You Terrell for being awesome and winning me back!!!!"

"We arrived at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Not one employee was in site. We sat at bar and we waited 10 minutes .then my husband went into the kitchen to ask if anyone was working. He was told “oh, she’s coming. There was less than 15 customers including us. We sat at the bar and ordered 1 drink apiece but I had no desire to stay any longer. Other customers were calling out loud for the bartender, because they disappeared again.The ambiance was horrible . Not coming back."

"The food, as always, is delicious. However, the recently updated menu leaves less options than previously. We were super disappointed that they no longer serve rainbow cake. Despite visiting the restaurant at 6 pm on a Wednesday, our service was super slow. The only times we saw our server is when they initially took our order (which was entered incorrectly) and when it was time to leave. My husband had to go to the back of the restaurant to find our server after a food runner dropped our order, which was missing a food item. Our appetizer, which was served without appetizer plates was removed by the food runner rather than by our server. I can only assume they were hanging out in the back because there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant at the time. The atmosphere was dry, the restaurant was poorly lit and nothing was really going on besides the radio playing. The bar seemed somewhat more lively, but we were with two children so we did not sit at the bar. Due to our experience at this visit, we decided to put this restaurant on time out for now. Why spend money at a chain restaurant only to receive sub par service when there are so many amazing independently owned eateries in the area?"

"I've been here a few times with no issues until tonight. The server was polite but ridiculously slow. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. Only to receive it with a hair in it (see picture). I also ordered a take home plate for my son. Guess what? That had hair in it too. I'm absolutely disgusted and I'm never coming to this location again."
