"Really poor experience. Very rude on the phone. Food is really bad... barely edible. The shakshuka is just 2 eggs with salsa poured on top. Salty and gross. Pancakes are dry, hard, and flavorless. Bagel doesn't even come with cream cheese on it - they give you a side of it from a packaged container. The bagel tasted like grocery store frozen bagel warmed up. Service was very rude, short, and snippy. Overall, couldn't have had a worse experience."

"Great place. We have been coming here for the last 20 years and have never been disappointed or left the place hungry. Nice people working here too. Update as of 7/7/23 - it’s now getting close to 30 years that we’ve been coming to the Daily Treat and it still continues to please us. There is never a bad meal here and the service is always spot on. Pictured is the Philly Cheesesteak which was excellent (not pictured is the pickle which I ate). Their breakfast items, what I usually get, are top notch. My thanks to the owners and staff for always being so reliable."

Throughout our stay, he stopped by our table multiple times and asked us if there was anything that we needed. Oh yeah, and the food was very good too"

"I can always depend on this restaurant for a good meal at a reasonable price. And partly because it’s in trendy downtown Ridgewood, you can usually expect good service here as well. The outside dining area is warm and functional. And since this prime spot on East Ridgewood Avenue is central, you’ll enjoy eating outside as well. Modern, clean bathrooms add another comfort, if you go. Good portion sizes and all the basics … ."
