"When reserving I made a note of my husband’s birthday. The hostesses asked whose birthday we were celebrating and they gave him birthday wishes. I was a bit disappointed we were seated in the middle of the dining room, having asked for a corner table. The restaurant was very noisy. First, the service. Our waiter was, at best, okay. He was not overly pleasant or friendly, just robotic in his job. This was quite unfortunate as I have found excellent wait staff can truly elevate a dining experience. He never acknowledged my husband’s birthday. The clams oregano appetizer was very good as was the Caesar salad. My daughter’s Brussels sprout salad was very dry. She didn’t eat it. My veal medallions were quite tasty. Eggplant and tuna dishes fine as well. My husband ordered the veal chop. While he said it was okay he was disappointed that it was totally smothered in sauce. A veal chop should be the main presentation on a plate as it is a lovely cut of meat. You couldn’t even see it. Overall I was expecting more from our dining experience especially after reading the reviews and traveling from Florida to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our daughter and son in law."

"Great food, good service, the upstairs ambiance isn’t there. From the looks of it, the first floor is a lot more of a restaurant vibe. The upstairs feels like it’s a second floor vacant space turned restaurant. Well priced!"

"My experience at Lu Nello was incredible the service was great. The bar area was nice and modern the dining area was great as well. I ordered a pork chop and a Caesar salad all my food was excellent. The prices are high but it’s a fancy restaurant and it’s worth it."

"So many good things to say about this restaurant and the meal. Each dish was well prepared, and we had plenty of leftover to take home (though that was not the goal). It is a large menu, though I felt the wine choices were more limited than the menu. Our server was excellent. We will certainly dine here again."
