"Yesterday I popped into Modern Modesty after reaching out to them on Instagram, looking for Keffiyeh's. For starters, as someone born and raised in Paterson, I was very happy to put my hard earned money back into my community, specifically the Muslim/Islam community. South Paterson is honestly the best place in (I imagine) the United States, you can find Middle Eastern EVERYTHING. Modern Modesty is a small little fashion boutique that has mostly women's clothing. But some very nice garments. I had been searching for Keffiyeh's as they are hard to find now. Which warms my heart knowing people are buying them and supporting our Palestinian friends. I paid $30 for each one. And they had two different styles. The quality is amazing. So the price is certainly fair! As I was in the store I did have my eyes on other scarves and some jewelry for women. So I plan to come back! Please take a look at their website or Instagram (@modernmodestynj) and do support. They even ship!"

"Love this store and the ladies who own it! They have beautiful and unique items at very reasonable prices! I bought a beautiful neutral colored ensemble I can wear for work or dress up for brunch. The lovely mother/daughter duo made me feel welcome and were beyond kind. South Paterson only got better with Modern Modesty. I will be back for sure ☺️"
