"Coming to Under Canvas Smoky Mountains in the fall was an absolutely incredible experience. First of all, the campsite, even the drive up to the site, was stunning. We were treated to beautiful fall colors all around, which was a lovely first impression. The tent itself: we went with the stargazer which I think is totally worth the extra $. Not only for gazing at night, but it provides lovely light into the tent during the day. Using the tent was super easy and intuitive. The demo they have set up in the lobby tent was easy to understand; we had no issues with anything not working or being hard to use. Every single staff member we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. We also had two breakfasts and one dinner there. Do not skip the food service! We were so happy with every meal; the dinner especially felt special for a campsite in the middle of the woods! I would absolutely come back here in a heartbeat. It is expensive - maybe a bit too high, but you do get a lot for what you pay for. I can't wait to try other Under Canvas locations. Thanks for a memorable trip!!"

"Under Canvas GSM was an amazing experience for our family. The location was beautiful, the campsite was intimate and the tents were not on top of each other, which made you feel like you had your own little piece of the mountain. The food was delicious and the kitchen was able to accommodate our gluten and dairy allergies with no problems. Tents were incredible and the family suite with indoor plumbing was a splurge and a gift. This is our second stay with the UC outfit and we'd definitely stay again. Our family had a blast."

"This was our 2nd time to stay at an Under Canvas. Our first was in Glacier and we loved it so we planned another stay. Everyone at UC is friendly and helpful. We enjoy hanging out in the lobby tent chatting with the staff and other guests. The deluxe tents (with bathroom) are very nice. The bed is super comfy. Unfortunately for our stay is was unseasonably hot and we did a lot of sweating. We were hoping to once again light the in tent wood-burning stove, but it did not get cool enough. We look forward to visiting another location in the future. One thing we didn't know beforehand was the location is up some winding roads and a long gravel drive. Also there is no cell service or wifi, which is great, but be prepared and map your trips in advance."

"This is my second stay at Under Canvas. The first being Zion in 2018. It is a wonderful concept. The tents are spacious and clean. The bathrooms also regularly cleaned. Food was great. Location is great as it is on country road out of the main town. It’s no more than 15-20min from start of national park. The team were very friendly and accommodating and suggested a few activities I was not planning on doing before they suggested it. If you are a bit of a princess this is not the accommodation for you. This is a great halfway point between doing all the work yourself and still being under the stars. Till next time."
