"I’ve been a pt of this practice since I was born, I’m now 17 and attend my dr appts unaccompanied because of that. I was under the care of Dr. Jorden and when she retired, Dr. Ashman became my primary care provider. I rejected getting my cholesterol taken due to my fear of getting my blood drawn. Dr. Ashman was quite rude to me after I rejected it and was not using therapeutic patient care. She told me I was being “immature” and “selfish”. As a nursing student I found this absurd to say to a pt. I’ve never had an interaction like that at this practice, but as she left my room she went on to tell the nurses sitting outside that I was being “non-compliant”. I personally found this very unprofessional and was made very uncomfortable by this situation."
