"MyndMatters is a welcoming, friendly, supportive and well-run little community. I say “community” — rather than “office” or “environment” — because Dr. Dameron and his associates have created a place of friendship between patient, therapists and office staff. As often as not, the waiting room is filled with people actually chatting with each other. Babies are goo-googed over. Light-hearted stories told. Dogs petted. Lindsay and Dawn run a front office that is unfailingly efficient in scheduling, billing and communicating with PCP’s and pharmacy should the need arise. Therapists always greet the waiting room with a smile and a good word. Dr. Dameron is a skilled and empathic counselor. Dr. Wood’s comments are mystifying to me. I’ve never seen any evidence of the shortcomings he sites. A bad match from the start, I assume, but as they say “move on.” I can only judge MyndMatters by my personal measure. I always feel better walking out than I did walking in."

"If I could rate above 5 stars I absolutely would! I first met Dr. Dameron approximately 13 years ago and was his patient for several months. Fast forward to early 2019, I was presented with some personal challenges that I struggled to manage by myself. When it became apparent that my self treatment methods weren't working, the first name I Googled was Dr. David Dameron and was thrilled to learn he was still in the Richmond area. When I called to make an appointment, the front office was kind and helpful with scheduling my appointment. Dr. Dameron is one of the most amazing people I've ever known. His only focus at our appointments is to help me become a healthier, happier person. He hears every word I say, helps me understand myself better, provides me with new perspectives, is trustworthy, non-judgmental, genuinely cares about me, and is the epitome of what a medical professional should be. This is the same experience that I had under his care years ago, and I consider myself fortunate to know him."

"This is the first place I have ever felt comfortable and welcomed. Here, you will not feel like a number or a statistic. In my opinion Dr. Dameron and his team have found a way to incorporate the health and well-being of not only the mind, but the body, and spirit through therapy geared toward mindful awareness. The second I walked in I felt welcome. Ice water and fruit are provided. As well as array of self help books that you are free to borrow. This was a nice touch for me because I’m an avid reader:) No flourecent lights, no elevator music like I feared. Just an eclectic collection of artistic photographs, soft lighting, and relaxing music. Lindsey, the office manager, always greets me as well as the other patients with a genuine smile and she is always on top of the schedule which I am very greatful for because most places don’t value your time or schedule. I put therapy off for most my life for a multitude of reasons. But I must say that I feel fortunate that once I made the decision to finally get the help I needed, that I found this practice."
