Estate - The Yards

"Amenities are very nice and obviously the main draw, units are fine enough but the walls are paper thin and noise/ kids and marijuana are HUGE problems; I would dissuade potential residents for that alone. I can hear clear conversations, children yelling and smell weed from the hallway/ adjoining units from about 10:00-3:00 every night and it's worse on weekends. Staff has been made aware of these issues multiple times from multiple residents and sends emails with reminders of the policy/ responds to bad reviews for appearances, but that's it; no actual attempt to confront residents is made. Points for the maintenance and cleaning folks; they are always timely, professional and responsive. The entire front desk staff was replaced at the New Year and both the old and new teams have been polite and professional, but leasing staff often seem disorganized and doesn't communicate a lot of key information well/ in a timely manner. Overall I don't believe Estate is worth it for the price."

"Jaennette was just incredible !!! She helped us so much to find the perfect apartment for us without making us feel overwhelmed through the apartment visiting process. Lindy was also very helpful, they both made the moving process so smooth and this helped us feel at home. Even though even it was Christmas time, they helped us rush the process and we got our keys within an hour after signing the lease!"

"Had a terrible tour experience here. When we showed up to the leasing office the doors were locked and we had to call someone multiple times to come open it. We thought we would be given a tour by a staff member but they told us just to go to the apartment building and ask the front desk for keys for a self guided tour. This would have been fine but when we got to the apartment the front desk person did not show up for 15 minutes and then asked us to wait another 15 to go get keys. We then started our self guided tour and the keys did not work. We had to go back to the desk, get different keys, and then those keys only worked to see 1/3 of the apartments we were supposed to see. The doors wouldn’t open for the other units. At the end of the tour we went to get my partners drivers license back and had to wait another 10 minutes for a front desk person to show up amongst other irritated tenants who were unable to get their packages. The staff here is incredibly disorganized and we were unimpressed by our experience of the estate apartments. There are plenty of better options in Navy Yard."

"Ms. Ngochi It was a bit of a challenge and quite the world-wind to get transferred from one apartment at the Estates, to another apartment. I must thank you and your team again! Everyone (Concierges, leasing office, maintenance, other management and staff, etc) really stepped up and made sure that they marched with us (lock-step) on every single item that needed to be dealt with during our transition. Their responsiveness, focus on problem resolution, overall professionalism, and general support has been some of the best service we’ve seen/had in a long time! Now that we are settled in the new apartment, the maintenance representative has been incredibly responsive, and resolves things for us efficiently! As you tackle all the challenges you face daily, please know that the impact of your leadership is evident, and your team is showing its ability to rise and sleigh the challenges of each day."

"We loved our year living here and using the different amenities! The staff is helpful and friendly. Great views and location! My only complaint was the garage door to G2 which frequently breaks down--I know the management company is the process of changing the system."
