"Rented through Air BNB. Condo was very clean and tastefully decorated. The owner of the condo was extremely helpful. The reservation was made for my family and 2 pets. There were designated pet areas. However there were people harassing me my entire stay stating my pets were not allowed on the property. I reached out to owner who confirmed they were. On my final day the property manager Ron McDowell confronted me stating I could not have my pets there. Spoke with the owner again confirming pets were welcome. Ron McDowell again confronted my husband regarding the dogs and my husband was not as kind as me. After their conversation Property manager Ron McDowell disabled our fobs preventing us access to the buildings and condo, our children, our dogs, and all our belongings. I had to call the owner to let me back in. I received new fobs which were again disabled after the owner left. This property manager was the most unprofessional person I ever met. I spoke to several staff and the stating “he’s like this, he don’t like renters, he don’t like dogs and that he was responsible for disabling my fobs.” My vacation was ruined! I don’t recommend anyone staying here."

"Let me start by saying we have stayed at this facility several times in the past. We were excited to come back for a family vaca. We could not believe what has happened to this place. To start, part of our family was leaving a day early and going to stay at a hotel. At 8:40 that night in their driveway, we receive an email stating our room would not be ready until Sunday. Completely weak to hide behind an email and not pick up the phone and explain why! They said it was due to no one being able to clean the condo. They were going to refund us one day of our vacation. So now, you would think that the condo would be spic and span from top to bottom. Far from it! We essentially had to go and re-clean everything ourselves. I could tell the only thing they did was put new towels and sheets in there. Floors were sandy. Bathrooms disgusting. We had small kids with us that the ocean would be a bit much to swim. Pool closed for the season. No upfront information about that. Elevators worked 40% of the time. No carts to help roll your baggage up. The dryer did not work. This place is run down to say the least. The new owners if Vacasa, should be embarrassed. Great location, but do yourself a favor and find anywhere else to stay. Hopefully they use a large chunk of that rental money to put toward upgrading their situation. We will never be back and neither will anyone I know."

"We checked in after receiving an email confirming that our unit was cleaned and ready for us. Upon pushing the door open (the doorknob on the door was broken and just hanging there) we discovered dirty towels on the floors, dirty linens on the unmade beds, and food residue covering the kitchen and dining room table. After calling and waiting 45 minutes for a cleaning person and new towels and linens, we waited an extra 3 hours for our unit to be actually cleaned. We were told someone would be in to clean the sand covered floors as well and they never showed up. While the unit was being cleaned, we explored the rest of our unit. We immediately went to the balconies overlooking the ocean. We opened the first sliding glass door only for the screen door behind it to immediately fall off the track and startle the pigeon that was protecting her eggs and living on the balcony. The other balcony had a family of three pigeons living on it as well. In the back end of the unit we noticed a fan in the laundry room blowing on a water leak from the unit above. The door to the bedroom next to it did not fit in its frame and would not shut. As for the amenities we paid for, they were nonexistent. The pools, which we were told would be opened late April, were closed. The relator also told us that the hot tubs are open year round. We discovered that to not be true as well, as they were filled with stagnant green water. The grills provided in the pool areas (when not zip-tied shut, as some were) did not work either. We were told there was a "propane issue" only after asking if they could be turned on. We used a total of two elevators during our stay; only one of which was operational. As much as we did not want to believe the reviews we were reading prior to our trip, they are disappointingly accurate. This review gets two stars for the beach itself and the fact that it was shelter. Our advice to future guests is to lower your expectations. The management team, if there is one, cares more about making excuses and collecting their checks than correcting faults and keeping their word."

"It is so sad to see such a beautiful property not maintained! We haven’t been here for several years and are so disappointed. The pool by our room is closed down and several of the gas grills are in ruins. The focus is definitely not on guests- it’s as if you’re not welcome here. We were told that the HOA doesn’t like renters and that attitude seems to carry over to the rental company as well. Instead of putting money into the property, they pay someone to patrol the parking garage to have cars towed! Several cars were towed (including ours) on check in day. It cost us $145 to get our car back. Our pass fell off the rear view mirror and wasn’t visible. Yet we were parked in a reserved spot for our rented unit! Also, our unit advertised “Early Check-in” as one of the amenities. However, when we arrived (just 15 minutes before the normal check-in time), we were told that we couldn’t check-in and the advertised early check-in only meant if you paid for it. We did notice that after we complained, the unit no longer lists early check-in as an amenity! Our unit is really nice and the owners have made our stay very convenient with a well stocked kitchen and even beach chairs and sand toys for the kids. I doubt they know what the guests go through when staying here. If you decide to stay here, just prepare yourself for unhelpful staff with the rental company and that your parking pass is taped to your review mirror EVEN IF you park in your designated space. Also, ask if all the pools will be open!"
