"Always great taking classes here. Least expensive place to learn lapidary techniques that I have found. Instructors are very knowledgeable and love to teach. Update: 2022 Took Silver class in the first week of 2022, slight format changes from past, positive in my opinion. Update: Oct 2022 Still liking the new formats, some new instructors and new faces among the students. Still the best deal for jewelry classes I know. Update: May 2023 Love seeing new and old faces, still a great learning venue. Update: November 2023 Took Chuck Bruce's Silver Inlay class. Learned an amazing amount and have been impressed with the great adaptation the school has made during and since the pandemic."

"Love this place! A wonderful place set in the Georgia mountains like going to camp for the creative. This place offers many classes to choose from to get you creative juice flowing. Beginners welcome and encouraged. The teachers are fantastic at bringing even the most creatively challenged to a place of confidence and bring out some amazing creativity that’s buried in everyone. Also, nes to mention the fantastic meals and wonderful kitchen staff that makes delicious and nutritious foods. They even cater to the special diet needs should you have them. There’s even nightly activities to keep you active, or enjoy a sit by the gazebo and just star gaze. Come solo and leave with some terrific new friendships. This is a five star experience for sure a total 10!"

"An excellent place to learn! Whatever lapidary skills you want to learn, there's a teacher (or three) who will teach you in a friendly atmosphere. Think of WH as a trade school crossed with summer camp: the "dorm" rooms are really nice (as well as immaculately clean), the dining hall is good with coffee/tea available all day, and the educational experience is top notch. It's a lot of fun to wake up in the morning, go down to breakfast, then learn all day. No cooking, no cleaning... Ahh! It's diverse in the class offerings, and even if you take a beginner silversmith class from multiple instructors, no two classes are alike. Each teacher is going to teach in their unique way, as well as specialize in various areas. Fellow students are also great resources for learning. It's a great place to make friends as well as industry connections. Shop safety is always first in the classroom too. This was my second year to come here (I took two opal cutting classes last May and a Silver I/II class this past week) and when I arrived it felt like coming home to a familiar place. I'll be back for sure!"
