"I saw Dr Simpson several years ago. Like many others, I thought I had found a Dr that listened and cared. He knew my pain, for he suffers the same pain. I really loved his idea of me swimming laps. I love to swim, and its the only exercise I can do. I had very bad knee and upper and lower back pain at that time. I was getting some pain medication from my family dr. But he would not write me a higher dose. Dr. Simpson upped the milligram on the first visit. And sad try that couple months, if not working good enough, I'll increase the dosage. I was thinking this is a good clinic. Unfortunately, after only 3 months, I messed up. My count was good at my appointments. And my urine screens were good too, until the last appointment. If i had actually known before my appointment that I had Valium in my system, I wouldn't have went to my appointment. I had gotten 2 Valiums from a friend, long before I even started at the clinic. I only took one, to help me deal with my husband's drunken binge. He like to get violent. The other was n the bottom of the little case that i kept my pain meds in. Well, it was Thanksgiving, and I was very busy cooking and visiting with family. It came time to take my meds, and I just reach in the little case and noticed the lid had come off my bottle and a few on my pills were n the bottom of my case. I didn't look, I just got a pill out and took it, while i was stirring my banana pudding. Well a little later I got very sleepy, which was very strange, but it still never occurred to me that I had taken a Valium. It had been so long that I had forgotten it was in there. I went to my appointment, on time, money right, my count was right, I gave urine sample and they sent this to a lab, nurse said every 4th screening goes to a lab for testing. I was ok with that. I saw Dr Simpson and we talked about me joining the Silver Sneakers program that my health insurance had to offer. And starting to swim laps in a YMCA pool. Start out with 1 lap and go 2 or 3 times a week and work my way up to so many laps, I forgot how many, within a year. Hoping this would help me lose weight and help with pain as well. He sent in my meds and my next appointment was day after Christmas. Well couple of days before Christmas, I got a letter dismissing me from the clinic. I know its my fault, that i don't deny. But, being cut off cold turkey was really scary. I cryed when I read the letter, finally remembering that 1 stupid Valium that was n the bottom of my case. I had very bad withdrawals from being cut off cold turkey. I wonder if any of the patients they had cut off like this ever have seizures or heart attacks, or strokes. All these things are possible during withdrawals. That's not counting the puking, diarrhea, shakes, mood swings that happens too. I think they need to revise their pain management contract. Taking in consideration these issues when patients mess up. This 1 mess up and you're out policy, really isn't fair. We as patients have pay alot of money to come to this clinic, we should get at least 1 chance to make it right. And also, after awhile mayb consider taking that person back as a patient. I mean its our money, we would giving it to the clinic instead of some where else. But all and all, everyone at the clinic was very nice, except 1 nurse. On my first visit, she made feel like a junkie, by the she talked to me and looked at me, down her nose, and acted towards me. I wish i could remember her name."

"I use to take a loved one here and because of the compassion and willingness to fight for our senior veterans, I would add 5 stars on top of these. The doctor he seen showed, (not talking) showed him how highly he was appreciated and respected for serving his country and fighting for our freedom. She brought back my faith in humanity"
