"WARNING: your financial security may be at great risk if you hire this accountant. I had my taxes and some quick books work performed by this company i.e. Mike Gray. I presented my documents and was told they would need to evaluate the material before providing an estimate. Despite over a dozen requests this accountant refused to provide an estimate. I was then told they needed to straighten up my Quick books. Again I asked for an estimate. I was told don't worry about it. This was very stressful and when I demanded to know what his fees were he stated 20,000.00. That's twenty thousand dollars to do my taxes and some quick books work that I never authorized. I currently pay another accountant 350.00 for my taxes and about 600. for my quick books. So far I have paid Mike Gray 1500.00 and he demands more. I was never provided a written estimate. Of course I refused! He then provided a discount but I was still paying thousands. I feel this was a bait and switch game similar to the guy that comes around and says he has some extra asphalt left over from a previous job. He then charges thousands for poorly performed work or no work. There are better and more honest accountants in Roanoke. Save yourself a lot of grief and expense and go elsewhere. I will be filing a complaint with his certifying agency for unprofessional conduct."
