"This unique find is worthy of 5 stars. The entire facility was super clean and comfortable. Our assigned room was a smaller room but boy what a view, esp. in October. The room was clean, comfortable and had all that we needed for an overnight stay. The king bed was soft and comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the inn and finding reading nooks and places to sit and enjoy the company of other guest. There is some information and items detailing the coal mining history, which was why we were in the area. While there, check out the coal mining history across the road and just a few miles past the inn, there is Portal 31 coal mine and a great coffee shop for breakfast and lunch if you desire more than a continental breakfast at the inn. As for the continental breakfast, the choices were plenty and consisted of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, prepackaged pastries, coffee, juices, and milk. We had plenty to choose from and satisfied our needs. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area."
