"We stayed at the Fairlea B&B for two nights, and cannot say more positive things about the experience. Susan and Walter run a classic bed and breakfast - its exactly what you would hope for in a country getaway. The B&B is quaint and charming and each of the rooms are nicely decorated and have en suite bathrooms (all of them have queen beds, no king beds). It was nice that the bathroom was not in the hallway so it felt more private. The house is extremely clean and they refreshed our towels and in room cookies between nights. Susan is an excellent chef and prepared a hearty breakfast each morning with three baked goods, an egg dish, protein (bacon or sausage), fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice. Everything is served on classic country china which adds to the charm. You can really tell she enjoys feeding people and making the experience super pleasant. Fairlea also kept some sheep and a pair of donkeys, who are fun to pet! Fairlea is also a great alternative to staying at the Inn at Little Washington and is a short walk down the street. If they chose to go online with this B&B, it would be booked every night. Give them a try and remember to bring cash or check - they are old school but in the best way. Highly recommend! 10/10"

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Fairlea Farm B and B!! The house was gorgeous (the pictures on the website don’t do it justice). The bathroom in the Rose Room was enviable for any home. Walter and Susan are the consummate hosts. The breakfast that Susan made us was amazing! All of this set against a stunning pastoral landscape. It has a very convenient location to the Inn at Little Washington. There were so many special touches and I would love to go back at stay at the Fairlea Farm B and B!!"

"Fairlea Farm’s bucolic setting and charming house made for a wonderful stay. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. The homemade breakfast was superb. All the recipes have been passed down in the family. In fact, Susan has a cookbook of her family’s recipe in the foyer for guests to view. If you’re planning on dinner at the Inn at Little Washington, be sure to talk to Walt prior to going. He has many great tips that will make for a memorable experience. From the farm, it’s a pleasant 10 walk to the Inn."

"Just a terrific place to stay within a ten minute walk of downtown Washington and the Inn at Little Washington. Rooms were described as 'rustic' on the website but the suite we rented was very nice, well decorated with a massive shower. Walt gave us a quick rundown on what to expect in advance of our going to dinner, and the next day, Susan made an excellent breakfast. Great value and would stay here again."

"Amazing breakfast!! Susan and Walt were great hosts, giving us good recommendations on where to hike nearby, restaurants, and wineries. They even had some free wine tasting coupons in their entryway. It was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go from here. I stayed here with 3 other girlfriends in the lower-level suite, which worked out great for us and was reasonably priced (~$200 per night plus $25 for each person over double occupancy). Beautiful views all around from the house, and lots of farm animals nearby. Did I mention amazing breakfast? It was several courses, 100% customized for us and homemade, and Susan will accommodate any dietary restrictions. I'll stay here again."
