Kids Central, Inc. is a community-based educational institution located at 183 Main Street in Haysi, Virginia. Our mission is to embrace, teach, and inspire children in our community. We are dedicated to providing high-quality services to meet the needs of children, families, and the community as a whole.

We are excited to announce the opening of a new center on our Esserville Campus. Our staff is dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, as shown by our recent employee holiday breakfast and annual staff in-service.

Kids Central, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization and a grantee of the Head Start Bureau. Our programs focus on early learning, health, and family well-being, with a strong emphasis on engaging parents as partners in their child's education.

We are currently accepting applications online for our Home Based Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Wise County, Dickenson County, and the City of Norton, Virginia. Our Board of Directors and Policy Council are comprised of dedicated members who are committed to the success of our programs.

Khari Garvin, the director of the Office of Head Start, has over 20 years of experience in serving children and families in low-income communities. Under his leadership, Kids Central, Inc. continues to strive for excellence in providing educational services to our community.
