"Generally, I handle filing taxes for my household (i have for the last 8 years), but because my husband started his business last year we wanted insight on what to do, areas of improvement, etc.; I received none of that. The preparer that we started working with got us off to a decent start but she was clearly being overworked as she was the only one in the office. Another preparer came in and began working with us and, boy, did it get ugly. She didn't seem familiar with the system, she did not know much about how to file for a business. In fact, my husband caught her Googling for answers a few times. She made a few inappropriate remarks that almost made me snap but I chose to remain professional. Oh, and let me tell you about a gentleman that worked there... he asked my husband, "what business you got, you drive for Uber?" That was the most disrespectful comment ever!... Anyway, toward the end of the process, she told us that we owe the IRS $4000! We understood that we were in a different tax bracket and the business may have produced some error, but 4k, really!!! Luckily we didn't submit, and went to get a second opinion. Turns out, we don't owe anything and will actually receive a return!!! I have never been around such foolishness in my life and I will NEVER recommend JH to anyone, EVER!! And did I mention that we were there close to 4 hours!!!"

"The lady first sent me to another location. Then when I went back in to get the directions again she said she was going to do it. She asked me the very same exact questions 4-5 times in a row. Then half way through she introduced herself to me. She wasn't sure how to file my taxes and had to ask the guy in the office with her. On top of that she had to call the lady from the other office to which she was sending me to get help with my taxes. I paid way to much to do my Taxes ever in my life!!! At this place!!! I totally and completely regret ever going there!!! Side bar... I have never left a review like this before in my life!!!"

"Completely inexperienced preparers and the fee is RIDICULOUSLY HIGH!! I used to go to Jackson Hewitt every year but not anymore. $400 to have my taxes done and my refund isn't but $500. That's criminal, the fees they charge!! I'll never go back."

"Ms.franklin at the Montrose Virgina , Williamsburg rd , Richmond V.A office is terrible service. She filled my taxes completely wrong and is making me wait longer than what she said “ within a few hours “ and hasn’t contacted me at all. Also the staff there argues there extremely loud when saying other’s information. DO NOT GO TO THE JACKSON HEWITT OFFICE ON WILLIAMSBURG RD. It’s a nightmare and I wish I went else where to file ."
