"I just purchased an "old wood" Black Walnut bridge, which I put on a Prucha-First Quality "parts" banjo with a goatskin head. "I would give this place 6/5 stars if I could. Over the years, Richie has helped me out more times than I can count. He’s honest, hard working, determined to get things right, but most importantly he is extremely knowledgeable about his craft and the banjos he works on. Any time I ever need any work done on any of my banjos, or need an expert luthier’s opinion, Richie Dotson is always my go-to guy, without question! As for his products, look no further! He has managed to take his extensive knowledge of banjo parts and workings, and apply that directly to produce amazing products. I’m always one to experiment with different things, seeing how they affect tone, but I put a Dotson bridge on my banjo 7 years ago…and I haven’t thought about bridges ever since. Recently, I tried out his Dotson 8’s finger picks. They’re both clearer sounding and easier playing than any other picks I’ve tried.
