"The Krav Maga Hampton Roads Dojo is amazing! The instructors are really professional, experienced, passionate and provide a training environment that is safe, controlled, and encouraging for all students no matter your level of experience. I am a retired Army Veteran with 22 years of service and have tried various types of training to help stay healthy, physically fit and help navigate life with PTSD. I knew nothing of Krav Maga but decided to try it and see what it was all about. I have been a student for 6 months now and I can honestly say that these classes have not only empowered me to feel more in control of my physical abilities but also mental and emotional abilities as well. The basics, movements and combinations I have learned for self defense have helped me build a level of foundation with self confidence and motivation in my every day life. I would recommend this class to anyone no matter their age, or level of experience; it provides a unique experience for every individual and can be life changing."

"I can’t say enough about how KMHR has improved the health and well-being of my family over the last year. My teen daughters 13/16 and I, started here a year ago and have put in a year of hard work. Both girls are stronger, more confident, and basically bad a$$ enough that I feel confident that they can handle themselves in most any situation. More importantly my daughters and I have formed a bond forged in blood, sweat, and tears. As we enter our second year my daughters still look forward to training with me several days a week, I don’t see a lot of dads spending that kind of time with their teenage daughters. Hundreds of hours over the last year not spent on a phone or a couch! The lessons are as much about mentally being ready for anything as physically being ready. The Instructor and assistant instructors are all quality people, people you can trust. We have also met some great new friends that we beat up, uhh I mean work out with every week. To be sure it’s hard, Krav Maga isn’t for the lazy of body or mind, But people of almost any fitness level or age can start and succeed here. In a world full of sheep and wolves training at KMHR will prepare you and or your kids to be the sheepdog!"

"I started training with Instructor Shorts and the awesome CIT’s at KMHR September 2021. The training program run at KMHR is excellent and second to none. All members of Instructor Shorts team are top notch and great to work with. The KMHR team has helped me navigate my training goals, kept me motivated and encouraged me to expand my training into BJJ and sparring. I highly recommend Krav Maga Hampton Rhodes for anyone looking to better their self-defense training through real world application."

"Mr. Shorts and Ms. Taylor are fantastic with my 5 1/2 year old. She has been taking Krav Maga with them since she was 4 1/2 and has really grown. They focus not only on general technique but discipline, fitness and life lessons. They do their best to support what we teach at home. We very much appreciate their efforts and positive influence!"

"I absolutely love this place. I got stationed here in Virginia, and Been looking to continue my Krav Maga training. Did a little research and finally found a certified Instructor by the Krav Maga association. The place focuses more on technique and real life survival situations. The instructors are great, the environment is welcoming and the prices are affordable considering they also teach BJJ. I highly recommend this place."
