Reviews
"Nice place, great tribute to a local legend and one of the greatest to ever do it. I believe you can also rent rooms and spend the night? You would have to call and book ahead."
"Beautiful, relaxed setting. So rich in history. I visit every time I'm in town."
"Impressive collection of Ralph and Carter Stanley memorabilia. Nice descriptions and history of Bluegrass origins in Southwest Virginia. Well worth a visit."
"Wow ! A MUST SEE for bluegrass and mountain music lovers. What a fabulous museum. Very tastefully done. A big beautiful old 2 story house packed full of Ralph Stanley pictures, videos, banjos, guitars, fiddles, and a lot of recordings of very old, and some not so old Stanley music. Coming here will give much more than just Ralph’s story; it will give you a broad history lesson on how mountain music started. The museum furnishes headphones, and you get to walk around at your leisure and plug into different jacks and hear Dr Ralph tell wonderful stories, sing songs, and share his heart. I stayed about two hours, and experienced it all. Go there !"
"My 10 year old son loved this place. Well worth the $5/person admission."
