"This place is amazing! We met Gerald Willis and he showed us around. He was so knowledgeable, and the passion he has for this memorial is impressive. We were not planning on visiting but we made it an hour before closing and it was the best choice we made."

"Perhaps the most informative and amazing memorial of its kind that I have ever seen. Do NOT pass this up- I did for two years, not realizing that this is THE NATIONAL D-DAY MEMORIAL. if you have a desire to learn more about Operation OVERLORD and its participants, give yourself at least a half day to read all the plaques. Better yet, take a lunch ( or bundle up!) and spend the day...I promise you, you won't be disappointed. There is an entry fee ($10-$12? - when you get through the gates, you will wonder why it isn't more -), so plan accordingly."

"This is a first class memorial that is both educational and respectful of the sacrifices of those involved in all aspects of the Normandy invasion. The grounds and monuments are beautifully maintained, and designed to tell the invasion’s story. Our guide, Rick, was excellent and provided our group with a not only the facts, but many background stories surrounding the preparation and invasion. There is a well stocked gift store that carries a wide variety of educational items at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend taking a guided tour or you will miss out on a lot of material. A guided tour should take 2 to 3 hours."

"While traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway, I went to see this. It was a very moving experience. If you enjoy World War II history, stop in. I took the tour, and it ended up as a private tour since it was just the guide and myself. My guide was Twila. She was very knowledgeable and patient with me. She has been giving tours for several years. The sculpture is very moving. I highly recommend a visit to this Memorial."

"What a great tribute to the military members who never came back. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the memorial. The also have future plans for more additions. Great exhibition of the timeframe required to achieve the desired win. Sincere sadness for those who died doing this!"
