"Look, there are plenty of dojos out there that can teach you how to defend yourself, or give you a workout, or hand you colorful pieces of fabric to tie around your waist every couple of months. But if you're going to invest in martial arts training, wouldn't you want what you're paying for to be of the highest quality possible? Wouldn't you want to study somewhere where the instructor really understands what they're teaching, has extensive experience in it, and is capable of presenting it effectively and challenging their students? Long story short: you'd be very hard pressed to find a better martial arts school in the area. In fact, I'd argue that it's pretty much impossible. Are they going to hand you a black belt after a year? No. Try elsewhere if that's all you're looking for, because it's gonna be several years of hard work. But understand that's because it's not about the black belt, it's about growth and it's about the journey. And when you do earn it, it's going to mean way more than if it was practically given to you."
