About the Business

Veterans Park is a beautiful 19-acre park located at 3793 Ironbound Road in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States. This park is not only a popular tourist attraction, but also a place of remembrance and honor for those who served in the Vietnam War. The park is home to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial monument, donated by local resident David Hooker in 1993.

In addition to the memorial, Veterans Park also features Kidsburg, a 30,000-square-foot lighted playground with separate play areas for children of different ages, a ship replica, swing areas, and 2 zip lines. The park offers various amenities such as an indoor multipurpose room, a paved ADA accessible multiuse trail, sand volleyball courts, lighted basketball courts, pickleball courts, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an off-leash dog area.

The off-leash dog area at Veterans Park is a great place for dogs to run freely without a leash. There is a fenced area for smaller dogs weighing 30 pounds or less, as well as an area for all dogs. The park also allows single, free-standing tents up to 16'x16' in certain areas, with specific rules and regulations to follow.

Visitors can contact the Park Office for assistance or to report any concerns, and in case of emergencies, they can call 911. Veterans Park is a wonderful destination for families, dog owners, and anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors in a peaceful and respectful setting.

"This is a wonderful complex. It truly has something for everyone. Every age, varying abilities and interests. There are basketball courts, pickleball courts, an open field, a big kid park, a little park, bathrooms, tables, and probably more. The courts are will lit. The field well maintained. I primarily visit for the kids park. It's spectacular."

"Nice open area with the basics. My kids enjoyed the zip line the most. Never knew about pickleball until I got to this park, there was about 8 or more pickle ball courts. My family and I were lucky to receive some lessons from Lee (pickleball player who comes regularly to the park), plan to get into the sport and come back again as a family."

"I found this little gem while researching kid friendly places for our upcoming vacation. It was the perfect playground for my 6 and 8 year olds. The park was clean with ample shade and even had a dog park that was split for big and small dogs. The best part was it was FREE!"

"I went to the dog park. There was a small dog side and a large dog side. Both were very clean. My only criticism is that there was no shade and no easy water available. This was part of a larger park that had a playground picnic areas, and I think sports fields. The playground looked impressive. If I had kids, I would consider driving to get there."
