"Very grateful for the childcare! Also appreciate the clean and organized facilities. I grew up in L.A. and “the Y” had a very negative ghetto connotation. Not scared to go to this at all, but instead my family plans our lifestyle around it. Above all, we enjoy the Bible verses to get us in the right motivation not just for workout, but for life!"

"If you’re looking for classes, this is the place to go. If you’re looking to use the weight room or other equipment, it’s not as ideal. Overall, we choose the Y because of the affordability & child watch. I also primarily go to classes. That being said, if we aren’t doing classes, it gets way too crowded in the weight area, and it can be very difficult to use the equipment/weights you want."

"The rules for the pool are very inconvenient for moms with infants. Kids using floatys (for safety not that he isn’t a good swimmer) cannot be in the pool without an adult even though I’m watching him in the pool and ready to jump in for any emergency ……this shouldn’t be a problem with 5 life guards on duty for a pool the size of my deck. We canceled our membership."

"Active in several group exercise classes, feel like I have come a long ways in getting stronger physically and mentally due to following the instructors guidance and motivation. Thanks to all of them and the great staff at Swift Creek YMCA. Shout out to Martha, Jamie, Stacey, Mary, Kelly, Jennifer and Dafne. Have enjoyed working with and becoming friends with many of the friendly members, they all are positive and work hard."

"I always enjoy the instructors for the BodyFlow and Yoga classes. There are a couple of studios that allow for more than one class to choose from at any given time. Classes start as early as 5am for those who need to get a workout in before work (or after if you have the graveyard shift). The gym & the equipment is always being kept up-to-date. The place is very clean, to include the restrooms, lockers and changing rooms. For families of little kids, it offers a much needed respite for the parents because they do offer options for the little ones. When you enter SCF YMCA, you will always be warmly greeted by a staff member. On your way out, you'll hear someone wish you well. These "hellos & goodbyes" are a part of wellness too. Don't ignore the staff. You'll feel better returning their kindness. I get it, some of you come to workout, not to socialize. I know a few of you! Just look up once in a while and smile. It will improve the look of your face & improve your disposition much more than that weight machine or aerobic exercise...but do those too. Be blessed & have a blessed day.
