"Joy should not work with children. She screamed at my 7yo child for putting a pony in the wrong field so harshly that my child’s legs were shaking and she wet herself. Joy makes disparaging remarks about childrens’ personalities and weaknesses regularly to barn staff and other instructors. Elementary school aged children. My child was traumatized for years from Joy screaming at her so harshly. Please do not leave your child in her care or under her direction. Do not be deceived by how she acts when parents are there. My child rode there for three years and I regret it deeply now knowing what happened to my kid. I really hope she’s just retired and out of business now but in case she isn’t, this is a warning to you."
